In history class, Elena sat down in class near Bonnie and Marley as Alaric, the new teacher, prepared for his class. "Good Morning everyone. Alrighty." Alaric wrote his name on the chalkboard. Elena mouthed 'Are you okay?' to Bonnie. Bonnie just shrugged. "Alaric Saltzman. It's a mouthful, I know. Doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. Saltzman is of German origins. My family emigrated here in 1755 to Texas. I, however, was born and raised in Boston. Now the name Alaric belongs to a very dead great-grandfather I will never be able to thank enough. You'll probably want to pronounce 'Alaric' but it's 'Alaric,' okay? So, you can call me Rick. I'm your new history teacher."

Later that day, Marley had gotten a text to come over for a girls night, she would come. And as for now Bonnie, Caroline, Marley and Elena were preparing dinner. Elena gave Caroline a look. She sighed. "I'm sorry. There. I said it. If you want the ugly-ass necklace, keep it. It's yours."
Bonnie looked guilty. "Will you hate me if I tell you I threw it away?"
Then, Caroline was annoyed. "You threw it away?"
"I know it sounds crazy, but the necklace was giving me nightmares. I had to get rid of it." Bonnie replied to her.
"You could have just given it back to me." Caroline comment to her.
Just then, Elena interrupted. "Why? So you could give it back to Damon?"
"Oh, my god." Marley muttered. "I don't need teenage drama. Why did I even come?"
Caroline scoffed. "Screw Damon. Are we doing manicures or what? Who has their kit?"
"Mine's in my bag." Bonnie replied to her.
Caroline rifled through Bonnie's purse for the manicure kit. "So, Elena...how long do you think this fight with Stefan's gonna last? Is it...like a permanent thing?"
"I don't know, Caroline." Elena sighed.
Suddenly, Caroline stormed into the room, angry. "Why are you such a little liar, Bonnie?"
"I don't need this." Marley walked out of the room and outside. There she met Damon. "What the hell are you doing here?"
"My brother wanted to play a game and I needed some space from him." Damon replied to her.
"So you ran away and to here? By Elena's home?" Marley raised an eyebrow.
"Guilty." Damon nodded. "Why are you outside? It's dark and full monsters eating squirrels."
Marley let out a laugh. "Funny, but I'm not afraid of monsters, they should be afraid of me." She replied to him.
Then, Damon stepped closer to her. "You aren't afraid of me?" He asked to her.
"Why should I?" Marley asked back. "I know what you are and what you can do and it doesn't scare me. I have friends that are like you."
"Hmm-mmm." Damon hummed. "Other vampires?"
"Not the sparkle ones, if you wanted to know." Marley replied to him. "It's long story, you would have to meet one. And I know of someone." She smiled.
"Will I meet him or her one day?" Damon asked to her.
"If you go to New York with me, then yes, you will." Marley replied to him.
"Cool." Damon nodded.
"Have you been drinking, BTW?" Marley asked to him.
"Not much." Damon replied. "Why would you ask?"
"Just curious." Marley shrugged.
"Why are you outside?" Damon asked that question again.
"I can't handle the drama that is inside of Elena's house." Marley sighed.
