One Year Later...
Irelin sat down on a Victorian loveseat and poured a glass of champagne. She wore a lavender dress made of chiffon that was light and flowy. It was strapless and the top part ruched towards the waist, highlighting her curves. It hit around her ankles, showing off silver strappy heels. Her hair was in a fancy updo, with curls hanging out in a fancy way.
"I can't believe the day is finally here." Irelin stated, sipping from her glass.
"I know. It all happened so fast." Alaina spoke from a closet.
"Get out here and let me see." Irelin demanded.
Alaina stepped out of the closet and Irelin's jaw dropped.
"You look gorgeous." Irelin started to get teary eyed.
"Don't you start crying or I will cry too."
"You're right. We can't smudge our makeup." Irelin stood up. "Just wait till Ashton sees you coming down the aisle."
Alaina was taking in her reflection, Irelin standing behind her and smiling.
"He's going to cry." Irelin giggled.
"Oh definitely." Alaina stated, laughing with her.
The door opened and a girl stepped in. She also wore a lavender dress, identical to Irelin's.
"Are you read- OH you look so beautiful!" she exclaimed.
"Thank you, Vanessa." Alaina smiled.
"They are ready to start." Vanessa said, fanning herself so she won't cry.
"Okay. I'm ready." Alaina said.
An older woman snuck into the room and stopped when she saw Alaina. She brought a tissue to her eyes and dabbed them.
"Mom. Please don't cry." Alaina pleaded.
"I'm sorry. You just look so beautiful." Her mom's voice was shaky.
"Okay. Let's go. No tears." Irelin said.
"Of course. We can't let your makeup get messed up." Her mom cleared her throat and straightened her dress.
They all emerged from the room and Alaina's dad was waiting with Dominic, Aiden, and Henry.
"You ready? You still have a chance to back out." Her dad said.
"Ha ha. You're funny." Alaina swatted his arm.
"Ashton's a great guy and I approve." Her dad said seriously.
"Thanks dad." Alaina rested her head on his shoulder for a moment.
Alaina's mom cued the music before taking her seat in the front row of the church.
The bridal party lined up ready to go. The girls carried jasmine bouquets as Alaina's baby cousin, Sophia, led as the flower girl with the help of her other cousin Iris. She was followed by Henry as the ring bearer, then Vanessa and Aiden. Matt and his girlfriend Samantha were next. Last was Dominic and Irelin.
Alaina walked out; her arm linked her dad's arm. Everyone stood and watched in awe as they sauntered down the aisle. Ashton's eyes lit up and he got emotional. Seeing the love of his life walking towards him in white caused some tears to fall. He smiled at her, wiping the tears away quickly. Dominic placed his hand on his shoulder for a brief moment.
