The dark featured man known as Jasper Evans strolled into the office building, anger evident on his face. Everyone moved out of his way, not wanting to piss him off further. He walked into the control room and his presence intimidated everyone in there.
"Show me." he commanded in a heavy accent.
The man controlling the computers brought up the video footage. As he watched, the monitors showed Alaina, Matt, and Irelin fighting and shooting his guards. Jasper shifted his weight on his other foot and clenched his jaw.
"And you got the boy?" he asked.
"Yes, sir. He's in lockdown downstairs." the guy said.
"This is your fault." Jasper glared at the man on his right side.
"Sir, I-" he began.
"You promised me your minions wouldn't get in my way, Chris." Jasper said, pointing a finger in his face.
"I can assure you they won't get any closer."
"How the hell do you plan to do that? They know about this location. I have to pack up and start somewhere else. Oh, wait...I CAN'T because that bitch stole the goddamn recipe." Jasper yelled at Chris in his face.
"I'm sorry. I will get it back from them."
"No. You've done enough. I will handle it from here. You better hope they don't ruin any more of my plans, Harrison. Or you will be the next one with a bullet in your head." Jasper threatened before turning to leave.
"Sir, might I suggest a trade." Chris piped up.
Jasper turned slowly, daring him to say something stupid.
"Trade Matthew -" Chris began.
"Who?" Jasper interrupted.
"The boy downstairs. Trade him for your recipe."
Jasper glared at him, thinking it over, then walked out of the room. Chris was quick to follow, staying close behind his bodyguards. He walked down the hall, flanked by two men, and took the elevator to the lower level.
The elevator doors opened and he walked out. The two men following him opened some double doors and he walked through. They walked into the center of the room and found the boy suspended from the ceiling by handcuffs.
"Well, well, well. If it isn't one of the thieves. Did you really think you were smart to steal from me?" Jasper asked.
Matt looked up, his face bruised, cut, and swollen. He had a black eye and bruises along his ribs. His eyes widened at the sight of Chris lingering in the back.
"Oh, yeah." Jasper said, following Matt's gaze. "He works for me. You didn't know?"
Matt glared at him, then at Chris who looked down shamefully.
"Now, Chris here told me the hotel you and your ladies are staying at. So I'm going to go there. I'm going to get back what you three stole. And then, I'm going to kill them. The lovely Janet here has a computer set up so that you can watch the whole show."
Matt spit blood at his face. Jasper, taken back, slowly wiped his face and inspected his fingers. A low chuckle came from his throat before he swiftly stepped forward, grabbing Matt by the throat. Matt coughed as the air was restricted.
"Do that again, little boy, and I will have your head." Jasper growled.
"Jasper, please." Chris pleaded.
