Stray ~Steve

Trigger Warning: Abusive parent, John Walker because he needs a warning

It was five in the morning and Steve had just set off on his morning jog. Whilst he was running a small girl ran up into him. She had y/h/c hair and y/e/c eyes. Her face was bruised and she had blood running down the side of her face. "I'm sorry. Please don't hurt me." The girl cried and tried to hide herself in her arms waiting for Steve to hit her. "Hey I'm not going to hurt you." Steve said gently taking the girls hands in his. "R...really?" She asked tears streaming down her face. "Of course not where are your parents?" As Steve said this the girls eyes flew open, "No no! I don't want to go back to them!" She yelled struggling against Steve's grip. "Ok ok I won't take you back to then but I can't leave you out here can you come with me please?" The girl nodded softly. " My name's Steve." The pair walked back to the tower taking a quick detour to grab icecream. When the pair walked into the tower both Bucky and Sam were waiting. "Where have you been Steve?!" Bucky yelled making the girl hide behind Steve with her icecream. "We've been word sick about you!" Sam yelled. "Guys!" Steve yelled as he crouched down to the girls height. "Hey it's ok." Steve said brushing her hair out of her face. "They won't hurt you." She cautiously peeked out to look at the men before her. "Hey what's your name?" Sam asked crouching down in front of Steve and the girl. "Y/n!" She said happily. Bucky came over and crouched beside y/n. "How old are you y/n?" He said quietly. "six!" Y/n said proudly, "I'ma big girl." Y/n saw Bucky's metal arm and took a fascination to it. Bucky smiled down at the girl who was looking at his arm fondly. Sam grabbed Steve's arm and pulled him out of y/n's ear shot. "What happened to her dude?" He asked. "I dont know but I'm going to get Tony to do a search on her when I asked where her parents were she yelled at me so that doesn't seem good Sam." The pair walked back to y/n and Bucky. "Stevie!" The girl yelled happily and ran towards Steve, who picked her up and swung her around. (Dad mode activated) "Sweetie would you be ok if we go meet about one or two of my friends?"
"Yeah Stevie." With that the four of them walked to Tony's and Bruce's lab. "Mr Rogers, Mr Wilson, Mr Barnes, Miss Walker."
Y/n jumped into Steve's arms. "Its ok sweetie it's just JARVIS."
The four walked into the lab "Jarvis do a search on the Walkers!" Steve yelled, "Bruce come take a look at y/n, Tony get your ass over here!" Bruce walked over to Steve and he handed y/n over to Bruce. Tony walked over with a questioning look. "What's with the girl Rogers?" "Her name is y/n Walker she ran into me this morning on my run I think her parents beat her." Tony stood there not saying anything for a bit he turned around just as Jarvis said. "Sir the search I'd finished." "Read it to us J" "Y/n Walker daughter of John Walker and Alice Walker. Alice died during y/Ns birth. Only child. Her father takes an anger management class and is enrolling in the army." Steve shock his head, "not any fucking more." He mumbled under his breath for only Bucky to hear. Sam and Bruce were over cleaning up y/n. "J I need an address!" "Y/a (your address)" Steve turned on his heals quickly yelling, "Tony, Bucky your with me Sam, Bruce stay with y/n. "

Time skip to when they are at your house

"JOHN FUCKING WALKER!!!" Steve yelled whilst knocking harshly on his door. A man with blonde short hair and a short stubble (ew ew ew!!!) opened the door. "That's me."
"Y/n."
"What about that little brat."
"Have you not fucking noticed that your own daughter ran away!" Steve yelled taking a big step forward causing Bucky to grab his shoulder and pull him backwards slightly. "She's not my daughter she may have my blood but I don't love her." Steve's face grew red in anger. "Steve calm down." Bucky said softly to Steve. "That's right StEvE listen to your little boyfriend." That was it for Steve he turned around passing Tony his shield then quickly turned back around punching John in the face. John fell to the ground unconscious.

1 month later

"Daddy!" Y/n yelled running into Steve's arms. Steve had just come back from a two week mission and was more that thrilled to be home with his daughter. "Hey sweetie." Steve said smiling widely as he hugged y/n. "Can you play with me please." Steve smiled at his daughter although he was exhausted he still put his daughter down and said, "of course sweetie what are we going to play?" "Knights and princesses!" Y/n yelled excitedly. "Let me guess I'm the princess?" Steve asked already knowing that she would want to be a knight because ever since Steve rescued her all she ever wanted to do is rescue others.
