Tom Riddle walked down the corridor, so close to Faith that he could smell the sweet, floral scent of her hair. Tom couldn't be sure if he was making the correct decision, acting on the feelings he had for Faith.

On one hand, it was idiotic and pointless. Faith was merely a distraction. They hardly knew anything about each other, and Tom did not intend to reveal any of his plans to Faith. Their 'not quite relationship' could prove to be problematic; Tom was not an affectionate person, and he wasn't quite sure what Faith expected from him.

But, on the other hand, perhaps Faith was a much needed distraction. For now, at least, before he took his plans to action, spending time with Faith was somewhat enjoyable. And no matter how hard he tried to ignore the way her permanently sparkling blue eyes paired with her contagious smile made him feel, he simply couldn't.

That scared him. It almost angered him. The little amount of control he had over his emotions around her was in a way disconcerting, and he'd soon have to fix that.

But, for now, he'd see how things play out with her.

"Oh merlin," Faith frowned, shaking her head as the two approached Professor Mcgonagal's office, walking down candle lit corridors in comfortable silence.

"What?" Tom asked.

"Mary and Walburga are definitely going to hex me in my sleep tonight," she sighed.

Tom laughed at this, causing Faith to nudge his arm.

"It's not funny, Tom!" Faith laughed a bit, "I'm not sure what they'll do...but sleeping in that dorm does not sound like the safest idea for tonight."

Tom nodded. "Yes, you're right. Perhaps you could sleep on the sofa in the room of requirement?"

Faith smiled at him," Good idea Tommy!"

Tom rolled his eyes. Though he'd never admit it, Faith's adored nickname for him was somewhat comforting to hear.

"I'll come back in an hour and wait for you outside Mcgonagal's office," Tom nodded at Faith as they reached the office.

"Oh," Faith blushed, smiling, "You're going with me to the room of requirement?"

"Yes. I am a prefect, and it'll be after hours." Tom confirmed, "Wouldn't want you getting another detention, Silvers." He smirked.

"Thanks Tommy," Faith smiled, turning and taking the door handle.

Before she turned it however, a boy approached them. Angry looking and blonde hair a shade darker than Faith's hair. Axel Silvers.

"Faith." He raised an eyebrow at her. Faith looked utterly confused and wary.

"Axel, what do you want?" She rolled her eyes.

"I need to have a word with you. Alone," He glanced at Tom momentarily, then returning his cold and bored gaze to Faith.

"I'm a bit busy here, Axel," Faith gestured to Mcgonagal's office door.

"Yes, I'm aware. I must say Faith, when I heard you knocked a girl unconscious today, I was almost proud," He sniggered. Faith flushed, anger sparking in her eyes.

"Piss off Axel," She sighed.

Axel rolled his eyes, and grabbed a reluctant Faith by the arm and walked to the other side of the corridor with her, leaving Tom watching with his brows furrowed.
