The beat sets me on a journey away
It blooms with passion and lots of beauty
The words and sounds never seem to stray
It creates something you feel not see

My heart plays life's song with a steady beat
Like a drum it plays with a purity
Music shines like a light none shall defeat
It costs not a penny or dime it's free

Yet life lacking rhythm and constant pulse
Would fall and break for even our hearts drum
Sadness and bore the world they'd engulf
Our world without music a constant hum

Music is alive as long as birds do sing
And life without music is a bell without ring
