The car pulled up to the house and Ben helped her out onto the sidewalk.

They stood there together, looking at the home that they would be sharing for the next 12 months. It was a two story ranch home with a good-sized front yard and big wrap around porch. A porch swing hung near the door. There was a nice tree and bushes in the yard and a paved sidewalk. There was a mailbox, and on the side of it, letters read, 'Warren. It struck Miranda that it was all too real, all too fast. She felt her heart pound against her chest and she drew her breath in, suddenly afraid, but Ben heard her and reached his hand to her back to steady her.

She looked up at him in panic and saw an assurance in his brown eyes. He nodded to her and then looked back at the intimidating edifice before them, took her hand, and walked her to the front door.

Miranda followed, and was grateful for his support, because at that moment, she had no strength in the world and had been one heartbeat from turning and running down the street, money, show or not.

His hand was closed warmly around hers as they reached the door, and his strength and confidence seemed to flow from him into her so that when he paused after opening the door and then bent to pick her up suddenly, carrying her over the threshold, she laughed in spite of everything, and her laugh drew his attention. He looked at her with a genuine smile and for a fraction of a moment, even he felt that, somehow, they would both get through it all.

The film crew was capturing every bit of their new life; the entrance to their new home, the tour of it as they walked through it, and every nuance that passed between them.

Joe, Kevin and Gabrielle were on it. There was a large, bright sunny dining room immediately to the left of the door-way, and a living room to the right, and all throughout the home there were hard-wood floors. Beyond that, towards the back of the home was a study that led into a hallway that was the main vein of the house. Behind the dining room to the left was the kitchen; it was a large room with marble counter tops, new stainless steel appliances, and an island in the center of the cooking area. Further back from the cooking area was a breakfast nook, and a full glass wall that opened to a garden and the back yard. The stairs led to another area of the home where there were four bedrooms; 3 guest bedrooms, and one a master bedroom.

Both of them walked back downstream and a doorway to the house, and a double doorway to the back-yard where they found a pool and Jacuzzi. Beyond the pool was a small structure big enough to hold a single car but designed instead as a closed-in space with two windows looking toward the house, and a door to walk into it.

"That's interesting." Miranda said as she began to walk to it. Ben walked up to it, opened the door and looked in, and then closed the door and looked at Miranda. "I want it," he said resolutely. "It's going to be my man cave." She looked at him in shock. "What?" she asked in surprise. He stood there looking at her seriously.

"I get the shed. It's my place. You can have the rest of the house." Miranda couldn't even begin to think of what to say to him so she just shrugged and shook her head.

"Alright. I guess so," she said with a disapproving tone. She didn't understand what he needed it for.

They walked back into the house and went back to their room, where they found a large bed and matching bedroom furniture waiting for them. Miranda stopped and stared at the bed for a moment, realizing that they were going to be sleeping together in that same bed. Every night. For 12 months. It was honestly scary, she didn't understand why it was now hitting her more than the honeymoon did. Why was she so scared now and not 4 days ago.

They started working, un packing and getting things in order. "I really like this house." Miranda told Ben.

"I do too." Ben responded.

"I'm going to start dinner." Ben said and Miranda nodded.

"Can you cook?" Ben asked.

"Yeah, I can I just never did often but I have signature meals that I make and I'm sure you will like them." Miranda answered.

"I'm sure I will too." Ben smiled.

They ate dinner, talked and laughed, falling back into place.

Miranda showered and got into bed. She looked up as Ben came into the room from the bathroom across the hall where he showered.

"What's your schedule like for this week?" Miranda asked as he got into bed.

"I have some on call shifts this week not sure how many but my last surgery should be done 9:30 tomorrow." Ben answered and Miranda nodded.

"I get off at 10 tomorrow and I'm picking my son up from the hospital daycare. So he will be home with me tomorrow too." Miranda told him.

"Okay great." Ben replied.

"Do you want to meet for lunch tomorrow?" Miranda asked trying to put forth a good effort.

"Yeah we can do that. Text me tomorrow what time and what do you want to eat and I can meet you at the hospital." Ben answered and Miranda nodded.

"Ohh I guess I could bring Tuck outside too so he can meet you." Miranda thought out loud and Ben smiled too.

The next morning Miranda rolled over and she smiled waking up on Ben's chest. They always found themselves tangled together and she loved the closeness.

Miranda sat up in the bed and she saw Gabrielle and Kevin come around the corner. "Good morning." Miranda greeted but she was honestly irritated that they could just walk into their house. That part didn't make sense to her but she knew they had to film them getting up in the morning and whatnot.

"Good morning." Ben greeted sitting up too.

"Good morning." Miranda said turning to look at him. Poking her lips out for him to kiss and Ben immediately pressed his lips against hers.

Miranda pulled the covers back and Ben's eyes widen then looked at the camera.

"Woah woah woah." Ben said urgently placing the covers back over her.

He looked at Kevin and Joe. "First let's have some camera etiquette. You will not film my wife with only her bra and panties on. That's rude and disrespectful." Ben said angrily as he wiped his sleepy eyes.

"It's okay Ben." Miranda said touching his leg.

"No that's not okay Miranda. You are my wife and they are not going to show the world with you in just your bra and panties. I will not stand for it." Ben huffed.

"Okay fine. I'm sorry guys edit that part out." Miranda told them. We are going to get dress and be out in a minute." Miranda added and watched as they turned to leave.

"Benjamin."

"Miranda." Ben huffed.

"They were just doing their jobs."

"I don't care and I know that was not apart of the job description. I don't want to see any other man looking at you like that. So Kevin and Joe know that was wrong and I dam sure can't take the world looking. You're my wife. This is for me. For my eyes." Ben said staring at her intently.

"You understand?"

"I understand Benjamin." Miranda said licking her lips looking into his eyes. She kissed his forehead, nose and then lips. She had to admit she liked the assertiveness.

Ben pulled her closer until she was in his lap as they kissed. "Alright let's get ready?" Miranda said.

Miranda road with Ben to work and he pulled up in front. "Okay I'll see you for lunch." Ben said and Miranda nodded.

"Okay I'll text you and give you a time. Have a good day." Miranda said as she got out.

Miranda walked into the hospital and she went to go change into her scrubs.

"Hey newly wed." Callie said as she walked out of the lounge.

"Hey girl." Miranda greeted smiling as they walked together.

"So how is everything?"

"Everything is wonderful. So far so good." Miranda replied blushing as she thought about him.

"Oh my God you had sex with him."

"No I did not have sex with him." Miranda countered.

"Well why not?"

"Because it's still so new and if it's as good as I think it's going to be and as strong as his confidence is. I know there is not much else I would get know about him because sex is all we would ever do. Not much talking." Miranda explained.

Callie laughed looking at how serious Miranda was.

"So how is he though?"

"He's super kind and funny and already so loving. It feels good to just be around him. Like I never felt like this. I even offered to have lunch with him today because we both get home late and I just want to be around him. " Miranda told her with a smile.

"I'm so happy for you." Callie beamed.

"I'm happy for myself." Miranda replied.

"Happy about what. Bailey I'm glad you're back from vacation." Richard said walking up. Miranda didn't tell Richard about getting married or anything. The show wouldn't be coming out until the end of September."

"I got married." Miranda mumbled quietly.

"Huh? You just got divorced." Richard stated plainly.

"Mhmm and married to someone else "

"Bailey, you've been seeing him all along." Richard whispered.

"Of course not." Miranda retorted.

" so I'm confused."

"It's a social experiment. A woman and a man who have never met…meet on their wedding day. You stay married for a year and if at the end you decide to stay, you win 600,000 dollars and if you divorce you win nothing." Miranda explained.

"And you? Bailey you signed of for this?"

"Yes."

"I just would’ve never thought. I would expect this from someone like Torres but you?" Richard laughed.

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Callie asked.

"I mean you popped up married before." Webber stated shrugging his shoulder causing Miranda to snicker.

"You laugh now Miranda but you see how that ended up." Richard said and that caused Miranda to pout.

"He's really sweet and kind and we are determined to make this work. I like him." Miranda confessed.

"Well I hope it works for you."

"Me too." Miranda said as Webber turned to walk away. She looked at the o.r board first before doing her rounds with her residents.

Miranda texted Ben and told him she had a surgery at 9 but would be done by 11 and they could go for lunch at 12.

Miranda walked down to the daycare and she looked around for Tuck.

"Tuck." Miranda called out.

"Mommy." Tuck called out as he jumped to his feet dropping his toys.

"Hey my little man." Miranda exclaimed lifting him off his feet.

"You ready to go to lunch. I want you to meet someone." Miranda said before talking to the worker to tell her that they were leaving for lunch.

"Hey." Miranda greeted as she met Ben at the lobby.

"Hi." Tuck said waving in Miranda's arm.

"Hey buddy." Ben said smiling.

"You wanna eat In the court yard?" Miranda asked.

" Yeah and the camera people are coming as well." Ben told her and Miranda nodded.

They walked out back and sat at the picnic table. Miranda looked around as some of her co-workers stared. Probably concerned about the camera crew.

Miranda took the wipes out of her bag and wiped Tuck hands off.

"Tuck I want you to meet Ben. Mommy's....hus-band." Miranda said slowly thinking if that was appropriate.

"Ben." Tuck said looking at Ben.

Ben smiled handing him his chicken nuggets, apple slices and fruit punch. Also with the toy that came with the kids meal.

"Ben it's green." Tuck said picking the toy up.

"Yes it is." Ben agreed smiling.

Miranda watched as Tuck hopped down from the seat. "Tuck what are you doing?" Miranda asked sternly as he moved to the other side. He tried to push himself up on the seat and Ben reached over lifting him to seat beside him.

Tuck showed Ben the toy again and that made Miranda's heart melt. "Here eat your food and then play." Miranda encouraged.

"So how was work so far?" Miranda asked Ben.

"It was good. I had a thoracotomy surgery and did my maternity rounds." Ben said and Miranda nodded.

"Oh okay, I had my rounds and a resection of a myeloma." Miranda told him.

"I would love to see you work." Ben said thinking.

"I can arrange that." Miranda responded touching his hand.

They continued talking something they did so easy before it was time for them to go back to work.

"Thank you for Lunch." Miranda said as she stood.

"Thank you for the invite." Ben replied.

"I'll text you when I'm off and-

"I'll be waiting for you to pick you up. I went to get a seat for Tuck since we forgot this morning also."

"You're so thoughtful. Thanks for remembering that." Miranda said palming her forehead.

Ben lifted Tuck up and held Miranda's hand as the walked back through the hospital. Ben walked with her as they walked to the daycare and dropped Tuck back off.

"Hey Bailey." Derek said after he sat Zola down and Mark did Sofia.

"Hey." Miranda said to both of them.

"Ben I want you to meet my co workers and friends Derek Shepherd and Mark Sloan. Neuro surgeon and Plastic surgeon." Miranda said.

"Mark and Derek this is Benjamin Warren. My husband and anesthesiologist." Miranda introduced as both of their eyes widen and face contorted with questions and they all shook hands followed by nice to meet you.

"Well Ben you should come out with us to the Deck." Mark said.

"The Deck?" Ben questioned.

"I'm building a house and it has a big deck that a couple of the men from the hospital is helping me with at night. We have guy talk, drink beer, chill and build. You should come on by one night."

"I would like that. Miranda can give you my number just send me the address and time. Whenever you all are out there "

"Okay great." Derek said as they walked away.

Miranda walked with Ben until they were at the front door of the hospital. "Alright I'll see you later." Miranda said turning to walk away.

"Aht aht not so fast."

"Wha- Miranda started but looked as his arms were open for a hug. She walked into his arms and let herself be engulfed in his embraced.

Ben pulled back a little bit and looked at her before kissing her lips and pulling her bottom lip between his teeth.

"Mmm." Miranda said falling deeper into it before pushing him back. She touched her lip trying to catch her breath.

"Why do you always do that?" Miranda asked.

"Do what?"

"Kiss my lips like that."

"You don't like it?"

"No, I like it. Too much in fact." Miranda blurted biting her lip causing Ben to smirk.

"I don't like too much public display of affection in the workplace. I don't like too many people in my business, spreading rumors and whatnot."  Miranda explained.

"Fine I'll just contain myself and kiss you like that out of the hospital but every where else,  those lips are mine."

Miranda blushed and smiled. "Have a good day Benjamin." Miranda said poking him in his chest before turning to walk away.
