Everyone turns to their hostess for an explanation.
Shinshinjane "As the lyrics says, 'you told him what to do and what to say', 'you got that choosing the ending of my fate'. You guys basically control every aspect of Eren's life and can end his life whenever you wanted. And you had a part in driving him insane."
Hange "But we didn't-"
Shinshinjane "Your tests. Your threats. Your actions. And just for existing can be enough to make someone go a little crazy. All in the name for humanity's safety and goals."
The scout leaders were silent, because they know that she was right.
Shinshinjane "It's not even just you three, there are plenty of others that were the cause of this madness the formed inside of him. You guys were just a small fraction of it in a larger scale."
She then turns to Armin.
Shinshinjane "And wasn't you that said, "To surpass monsters, you must be willingly to abandon your humanity"? That's basically turning yourself into the monster. The very thing you hate. You guys wanted a monster fighter, you got one."
Eren "You brought this upon yourself."
Armin "Eren, I-"
Eren "Save your excuses for someone who cares."
Mikasa "Eren, please."
Eren "Quiet."
She did as she was told.
Eren "I don't know how many times I'm gonna have to say this. I am in control of what I want to do with my life! You don't have control over me! You don't own me! I don't need you to keep smothering or mothering me. Frankly, it's a nuisance."
Mikasa didn't break down in tears, not just yet, but his words still hurt her.
And Armin, well he just wants to punch him. But he can't when knows he can't win against his best friend.
Just why are you changing so much that it's hurting us, Eren?
