To say Peter was stressed out of his mind would be an understatement. He could feel the sweat practically burst out of his pores. He was scared shitless of the reactions he would get from his fellow Avengers when they find out he met their soulmate and left without bringing her straight to the tower.
"Oh god...They are gonna kill me."
That was him being hopeful. He knows the second he tells them, they are gonna want to scream, maybe even torture him a bit. Reaching the tower, he slowly walked to the elevator; when the doors closed, he was on the verge of a panic attack. If he was being honest, there was a part of him that just wanted to swing throughout the city, screaming at the top of his lungs how he found his soulmate. Staring at his feet, he could feel a smile creep on his face. Whatever was about to happen, all he would need to do is picture your face and happily take everything they threw at him.
*DING*
Quickly looking up, he saw everyone gathering in the common area.
"JESUS KID!...could you take any longer? The meeting was supposed to start 10 minutes ago."
His mentor practically sassed him. Getting the hint, he jogged to the couch and sat down next to Natasha...or Nat as she keeps telling him. Looking around the room, he saw that some people were missing. Tony, of course, was leading the meeting and was front and center with a light blue hologram behind him. His gaze soon slipped from Tony to Steve, who was standing by the edge of the couch with his arms crossed. Next to him was Bucky, who was leaning forward with his hands clasped together-he always wondered how he did anything as casual as that with a metal arm. Going down some more was Wanda and Pietro-the twins. His eyes then saw Vision and Barton, both of them leaning back into the couch, waiting for the meeting to start. Last but not least were Bruce and Natasha, who were talking amongst themselves.
Shutting his eyes super tight, he wiped his hands down his jeans and abruptly stood up and spit out.
"I met our soulmate!"
Absolute silence. Everyone stopped what they were doing and turned their attention to the youngest Avenger.
"Uh...I don't think we heard you, right kid. Cause it sounded like you said 'you met our soulmate,' BUT that couldn't be right....right??"
Trying to gain some confidence, he walked up to the front where Tony stood.
