When 7 rolled around at the palace, Dust was on his way down to the ballroom when he was suddenly stopped by Dawn. "Dust- I need you to come to my room after the whole blood ritual thing" she said. Dust just nodded and continued walking. Once he got to the doors of the ballroom, he took a breath and thought to himself, "Everything is fine- Nobody notices you anyways, I can just get it over with and leave-" but he was wrong. As he walked into the room, He felt the eyes of everyone staring at him. He started to get nervous, and everyone just kept staring, thinking the prince wouldn't care. Once he got to the head of the room, he just stood there. After the weird ritual thing, Dust now had a poison of his own. He didn't really care so he just went to Dawns room like she asked.
"So why did you ask me to come in here?" Dust asked. Dawn stared at him and spoke, "Two things- One, now that you are 'King' you have to find a Queen but I'm sure you already knew that-" she said. "Yeah- I did- Now what was the other thing-" "Impatient much- You know that peasant your family hates that lives on the streets?" She asked. Dust nodded in response, , "She is in the last cell in the dungeon." Dawn stated. Hearing those words made Dust smile. Though he was now king, he never saw the criminal in his life. He was excited to finally meet them.
In the cell, a girl was crying. She had already lost almost everything, now she definitely has nothing to lose. 'At least I don't have to sleep outside anymore' she thought, trying to make this better than it was. She didn't have much freedom anymore due to being bound to the wall by her wrists. But it was better than running every day, even if her arms were getting kind of tired. That's when she heard a *Slam* from the entrance. She thought for sure everyone would notice but then she realized. Nobody else was there. When she was dragged down to the cell, every other cell was empty. 'Who the heck is down here?' She thought. she was too afraid to speak, she didn't know what these people were capable of, so she kept quiet. "Well~ Well~ Well~ Look what we have here~" a Voice said, Approaching her cell swiftly. She lowly growled at this, though it appeared she had nothing to be angry about, but the tone of this person made it clear that in this place, she had nothing. No knowledge of the place, no idea how to escape, nobody on her side. No Freedom. She was trapped for who knows how long, and this monster was the reason. Before she knew it the figure was at her cell, "So you're the one my 'family' keeps nagging about~ It's nice to Finally meet you Zeffer~" He purred.
-Zeffer's POV-
His voice chilled me to the bone, no pun intended. It wasn't the fact he knew my name, lots of royals this family knew. Suddenly I was snapped out of my thoughts, "It's rude not to respond when someone is talking to you..." he uttered; it was like he was two different people. Instead of an obvious teasing, he sounded... annoyed in a way. "W-who are you...?" I asked, internally cursing myself for stuttering. The same sadistic grin crept on to his face. "Oh~ I thought you'd know who I am~ I do go by a few names~ But to put it shortly~ I am your king~" He remarked. When he went back to the teasing, I couldn't stop a blush creeping on my cheekbones. I didn't like him, anybody using that kind of tone would be enough to make me blush. As soon as I realized it happened, I turned my head to avert his gaze. I then realized how bad of an idea that was. I expected him to go back to the cold tone he used when I refused to speak. But instead, "Why'd you look away from me Cupcake~?" Cupcake!? I barely know this guy and he is giving me a pet name?! I didn't want to make him angry, so I had to look back at him. "S-sorry," I stammered. He then did something I wouldn't expect from anyone in their right mind. He laughed; I didn't know why. "W-why are you laughing?" I questioned. "Aw~ Cupcake you just look so helpless in this little cell~ I can't help but laugh~" he boasted, "You're like my own little pet~" that was what set me off. Nobody has called me a pet and avoided getting hurt. "I am not a pet!" I growled. I didn't move because I knew it would hurt me. "It sure looks like it to me~ You are in a cage in MY castle~" When I was about to speak, I stopped myself. Why? I just stared at him in anger. "Good girl~ I'm glad you know not to argue~" I growled at his statement. "Don't call me that." I scolded. He smirked at me, but I don't know why. "I'll call you whatever I want~ You got that Cupcake~" The way he said it made me sick. I had enough for today. Anger took over me and I forgot about everything. All I knew was I wanted him gone. I jumped at him, or at least tried. I had a fair amount of strength but definitely not enough to break through chains. When I tried to get closer, I used almost all the force I could use. A strike of pain hit my arms as I got jerked back into the wall. I screamed out in pain. It wouldn't have hurt as much if my head wasn't the part that hit hardest. I would expect at least a little look of concern from the "king" but he just stared at me with a psychopathic smile. I looked away, not wanting to make the same mistake twice. I focused my thoughts on where the pain was so I could try and heal it. Most monsters don't know that healing doesn't require touch or even hands. I didn't want this sad excuse of a king to know that I could heal in that way, so it was best to wait out the pain until he left.
My stories are odd
