NON POV

They crouched behind a tree, staring at the donut shop before us. It looked quite new, with the offical 'Monster Donut' on the roof.

"This shouldn't be here," Annabeth whispered, "It's wrong."

"What?" I asked, "It's a donut shop."

"It's like when Beedle sails around everywhere, and he's always where I am." Wind whispered under his breath. "It's like Beedle is reincarnated with the rest of us, just not part of the triforce."

Tyson, Annabeth and Percy stared at him.

"The triforce? Beedle? Reincarnated? Is Wind a reincarnation?" Annabeth thought to herself. "I'll need to do some research and ask him questions later."

"Be quiet," Annabeth whispered. "Chains like this aren't normal. They're connected to a monster's lifeforce. Some Hermes kids in the 1950s figured out how to do it. They breed-"

Suddenly she stopped.

"What?" Percy demanded. "They breed what?"

Wind had frozen as well.

"No...sudden...moves..." Annabeth commanded, like her life was dependent on it. "Very slowly...turn around."

Then, I heard it. Wind's ears were twitching at the sound. It was a scraping noise, like something large dragging it's belly through the leaves. They all turned and saw a Hydra, not exactly spotting them. The Hydra was chewing up one of their bags, probably getting their scent.

Percy took out his pen, but was stopped by a look from Annabeth. Tyson trembled, stepping backwards. A twig snapped. Immediately, all seven heads turned towards them and hissed madly.

"SCATTER!" Annabeth yelled, diving to the side.

Percy went the opposite direction. Tyson hadn't moved, frozen. Tyson was about to get pumelled.

"How do you kill this thing?!" Wind shouted.

"FIRE!" Annabeth shouted. "We need to burn the stumps before they regrew!"

Wind paused, "Would fire arrows work?"

"Hm..." Annabeth ducked. "Okay, let's give it a shot!"

Percy and Wind became a team. Percy would slash, and Wind would fire. They did it until all the stumps were burnt off. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. A hydra head was left on the ground.

Wind picked it up, and it disappeared into his inventory. A steamship came nearby.

"Well well well," Clarisse greeted, "You do have some brains after all. Looks like you're stuck- I'll let you aboard. For now."

Percy's POV

"You're in deep trouble," Clarisse said.

We'd just finished a long, in depth tour that Wind looked bored at.

"This ship?" Wind explained, "It isn't the best. It'll go must faster, smoother, and is better for the ecosystem to use natural sails instead of all of the engine things...I should know. I've worked with, dealt with, fought with pirates and have my own ship back home. This ship is also..."

...

Let's just say that Ares might be in for a long speech later. Anyway, we saw the boilers and engine, which looked like it might explode any minute, the pilothouse, powder magazine, gunnery deck, all to have Wind simply look annoyed. It seemed like he knew his way with boats. If he wasn't a son of Poseidon, he would've been a son of the god of boats, whoever that is.
