Chapter 13: Capture The Flag

Twilight's POV

I saw what looked like a guy in a wheelchair and a strange man. I stood a bit away, leaning on the wall. They hadn't seemed to have noticed me yet.

About my apparent mother, Artemis...apparently she's a maiden, so I have no idea what this means for me. This could be bad for me...or good. I hope it's the latter.

"Percy! Thalia! Ah, and this must be-" The man said, but Percy cut in.

"Nico di Angelo. He and his sister are half bloods. And there is also...Twilight? Where did he go?" Percy looked around.

"Here," I said, stepping out of my little corner.

"Ah. Who is this?" Chiron asked.

"This is Twilight," Thalia said, "Child of Artemis, apparently."

The man furrowed his brow, "I see. And how?"

So they explained.

"I see. And where's Annabeth?" he asked.

"Oh no. Not another one lost," the weird man said.

"You're that Mr D guy," I realised, "And you're Chiron."

"Ah, I see you were caught up. Do you need to see the orientation film?" Chiron asked.

"Nah. Two friends filled me in," I answered. "Have you heard of Wind and Time?"

There was a silence.

"Yes. Yes, we have."

When I entered the cabin, I was surprisingly welcomed, even if it was reluctant. I was introduced to them, and soon we became fast friends. We didn't exactly push each other on anything. I became closest with Zoe, Bianca and Phoebe, who only Bianca was warm to me in the beginning. Though at the end, we were joking like fast friends.

"So, about the game tonight," Bianca asked, "Is it always the Hunters verses the Campers?"

"Yes," Phoebe said, "As well as Twi now,"

They had gotten that nickname for me as well.

"We'll see how well thee doth in battle!" Zoe laughed, "I hope thee'll impresseth us."

I gotten used to her way of speaking, though sometimes I needed to figure things out.

"Sure I will. Time told me how Capture The Flag works," I said.

I explained what Time and Wind told me about their journeys. They seemed impressed with them, maybe even didn't mind them, even though they were men.

Apparently now that I knew my heritage, more powers will unlock for me as I go along. I hope so- it'll be cool. Like how Wind learnt stuff about his new powers.

"Shalt we discuss strategy?" Zoe asked.

So the whole cabin got together, and we started to discuss. Afterwards, I took a break to look at my room in the back. It was simple- it reminded me of my room back home.

Percy's POV

That dinner, I was pretty miserable. The only people that looked like they were enjoying themselves was the Artemis table. Twilight seemed to fit in right with them, and people looked baffled at the fact that a male was sitting there. Twilight was gaping at some of the food. I'm not surprised- Wind and Time did the same.

When dinner was finished, Chiron introduced Twilight, which got a lot of looks. Then he introduced the Hunters, with some half-hearted claps. The Capture The Flag game was also announced, which got much better reception. Afterwards, we went back for an early sleep.
