Using the correct form of the word 'your/you're' is one of the things people struggle with most. Often times, it will get me laughing to myself, not because of the mistake, but because of the thought that comes with it.
Whenever I see someone (Less fortunate than I) who has used your instead of you're before welcome, the only thing that comes to mind is a waiter lifting the top of a silver platter and saying, "Your welcome."
Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that the author has chosen to give the characters manners, it just brings me laughter to imagine that with the scene the author has described.
