Apparently, there’s a counselor in each cabin, So Macie stayed with us
Man this planet is so weird, I mean it was nice that they let me live here though
My home planet exploded 2 days ago and I luckily got on one of the safety pods and escaped the planet
I ended up here and some people came and told me about stuff and they helped me out
They gave me a mask to hide my pointy teeth so I didn’t kill anyone and they sent me here to this camp
Back in the cabins we laid down on our beds and apparently these people “sleep” to get their energy back after the day, on my planet we put these things called secores in our mouths and we get the energy back that we used up during the day
Oh crap, I don’t have any secores left, I was only able to grab 2 secores before I got in the safety pods
Maybe I could try “sleeping”
I walked over to Macie and I woke her up
“Who’s there?” Macie said sitting up
“Oh it’s a camper, what do you need?” Macie said rubbing her eyes
“How do I sleep?” I ask
“You lay down and close your eyes, then you wake up after the sun comes up” Macie said laying back down
I went back to my bed and I did what she said, then suddenly I woke up and it was morning
“Woah that was weird” I say sitting up
“Good morning Scemma” One of the two similar-looking fox people said
“Which one are you again?” I asked
“I’m Alex” Alex said passive-aggressively
“What are we supposed to do?” I ask
“We go to the cafeteria for breakfast” Macie said wrapping a bandage around her arm
“What happened to you?” I ask
“Oh yeah, someone shot an arrow through the window in the middle of the night” Macie said
We all got up and we walked down to the cafeteria
They gave us what they call “waffles” and “syrup” and I loved it
Then Morgan went up on the stage and started talking
“Attention counselors in an hour all of the new villains from cabin 27 will be sent down to the front yard for hero lessons, Maddi and Shawn will teach those hero lessons, that’s all” Morgan said as they walked off the stage
“Oh gosh, I’ve only been here for a day and I’m already tired of it” Victoria said putting her head on the table
Aubrey rubbed her back to help her with her feelings or as these people call it “comforting”
An hour passed and we got sent to the front yard for the classes
“I’m Maddi and this is Shawn” Maddi said
“Okay let’s get straight to learning” Maddi said
We went through the basics of being a hero and I think I was the only one who paid attention
“Hey! Frey, bring these campers back to cabin 27” Maddi yells at Mason walking by
“Okay, you didn’t need to yell” Mason says
We followed Mason back to our cabin and we were told about all of the different courses
“And that’s the last course you can take if you haven’t been here for a year” Mason finishes
“Thanks Mase” Macie says from the corner
Mason leaves and Rae peaks her head in the door
“Hey, Mace, you’re on lunch duty with me today” Rae says
“I’m coming” Macie says standing up and leaving
“Now that they’re gone, I have a plan on how to escape this camp” Alex says
“Why would we want to leave?” I ask
“We don’t want to be kept in a camp that holds us back and takes our powers, we are powerful beings that shouldn’t be held back, these camps should be illegal” Alex monologues
“But you guys were doing illegal things and they treat you guys great here, back where I lived if you were caught doing a crime, you get killed even if it was jay-walking” I blurted out
“Why are you even here if you’ve never done something wrong?” Alex yells
“This place gave me hospitality when no place would, sure I wasn’t asking around for long but still it’s the thought that counts” I say
Tera bursts in the cabin and yells “Break it up!”
“Alex and Lucas come with me, we have to have you guys sign some papers” Tera says
Tera took the boys out and I left to go to my bed to be sad
“Hey, are you okay?” I heard someone ask
I looked to see who it was and it was Oliver
“Yeah, it’s just all of my horrible past memories are coming back to me” I say
“That’s called trauma, you sure you’re fine? Trauma isn’t a good feeling” Oliver said
“Can I learn more about this “Trauma” ?” I ask
“Oh, it’s all of the bad things that happened to you in your life making you feel bad mentally and sometimes even physically, also these things called “flashbacks” where it feels like you’re back in the moment” Oliver said
“Do you have any trauma?” I ask
“Yeah, my parents died in a fire, they were working on a machine and it exploded, I don’t like to talk about it” Oliver said with water dripping from his eyes
“Hey Oliver, we have a rematch with Cabin 13 - are you okay?!” Rae says coming in
“Yeah, I’m fine” Oliver says
“If you’re sad right now, you don’t have to play” Rae says rubbing his back
“No, I’ll play, it’s fine” Oliver says
“I can fill in for you if you want me to” I say
“You sure?” Oliver asks
“Yes I’m sure” I say
“Okay, Scemma come with me” Rae says leading me out
There was an obstacle course outside with a bunch of people outside
“Go stand over there with Roxanne, Lillian, Treva and Diantho, I have to go talk to my mom about you taking Oliver’s place in the obstacle course rematch” Rae said pointing to a group and leaving
“Hey, I’m going to take Oliver’s place in this obstacle course today” I say
“Well hello there, I’m Diantho Chase, the diamond and you are?” Diantho says
“I’m Scemma Bora, I’m what you would call an alien” I say
“Okay so basically in this obstacle course, you climb up the rope and ring the bell, then you climb down, next you run towards the water, you jump in and grab the stick at the bottom and lastly you run through the hail that Chloe, our weather controller makes, with no umbrella or any powers that you have” Roxanne explains
“This is a rematch, right? Then who won last time?” I ask
“Cabin 13 won, like they always do” Treva says
