"So you're telling me that those Shadowhunters, kept you in their musky underground prison?" I spat the name with disgust, as I held myself back from burning down half of Jasper's apartment.

"Well..." Fred grins mischievously. "They tried to. We toyed with them for an hour or so before walking out of there."

"And I have never been more attracted to you." I grin, wrapping my arms around the cheeky Weasley, his arms instinctively wrapping around my waist as he lays a gentle kiss on my lips.

"Okay gingey, maybe kiss my little sister less mmmm?" Jasper lets out a light hearted growl as he gently pulls me away from Fred's arms. Kai laughs quietly in the background, amused by the pout on Fred's face.

"It was one kiss Jas." I pout up at my brother, growling softly when he ruffles my hair.

"Back to the Shadowhunters before you two start playfighting and I have to separate you two." Void speaks up, not realising what he said and how naturally it came out.

"I say, we frighten them a little." Kai smirks, his eyes sparking with a slight hint of chaos.

"I like his thinking." Void piques up, his fingers sparking with electricity. When did that happen? I look pointedly at his fingers and he holds a finger to his lips, a faint smirk adorning them.

"Freddie, I don't suppose you'd have any of those smoke bombs left?"

"Sweetheart, I thought you'd never ask."

"Any signs of the downworlders?" Jace asked as he walked past his parabatai, Alec Lightwood.

"No sign, it's like they vanished off the face of the Earth. It's ridiculous, they shouldn't have been able to walk out of their holding cells." Alec ran a hand through his hair in annoyance, the bags under his eyes adding to the image of stress he held. "At least Sebastian hasn't managed to escape, that's one thing I guess."

Jace goes to reply when the doors to the institute fly open, a small object being rolled in, covering the room in a thick heavy smoke.

"Everyone down!!" Alec yells out, grabbing his bow and arrows off a nearby rack. He coughs into his arm, his throat suddenly feeling tight.

"Oh little Pocahontas, you messed with the wrong people." A cold female voice is heard as a boot kicks Alec to the floor with a strength that almost breaks his shoulder. The boot moves to press against his throat and he winces when he feels his supply of oxygen being cut off.

The smoke finally clears enough for Jace to look up from where he was being held down by an invisible force, a girl with a mix of purple and blue hair and glowing purple eyes holds his parabatai to the floor.
