*Clary bashing lol*

And we find Crystals final mate!

I gently bring Sebastian up, a soft smile on my face as I feel the new tether between the two of us.

"One last thing before we leave." I address all the Shadowhunters in the room, my voice dropping into a low tone. "There's a war coming, a war that can change everyone's lives everywhere. We need help and if you help, I promise, it will not be vain."

I hear Clary scoff and I look at her with a raised eyebrow, as I feel Sebastian tense beside me. I exchange a look with Jasper, my brother pushing down Fred's clenched fist.

"You come in here, attack us and take my brother and you ask for a favour on top of that? How dare you. Who do you think you are? I don't care if your God's granddaughter or whatever, you can't just treat us like that. We're already in a war and we can't run around fighting a little petty battle, just because you snap your fingers"

This time it wasn't me who speaks up, surprising several of us in the room. I should have realised however, that he would not stay quiet on this matter.

"You call this little thing a war?" Jaspers Texas accent was thick as he angrily spat at the Shadowhunters. "Oh please, we've been in a bigger war than you'll ever imagine and when we close our eyes....." He takes a breath, closing his eyes as he runs a hand through his hair.

"Jasper it's okay." I whisper quietly, moving closer to my brother. He opens his eyes and gives me a small appreciative nod.

"When we close our eyes, all we can hear is the screams of innocent people being tortured. That blood is on our hands and we can never get away from that. And now, there is a threat larger than your little minds could ever comprehend. But no, instead of offering to help, you decide to have a little temper tantrum and stomp your foot as you choose not to help prevent worlds being torn apart. It may not happen straight away but they will come for you and when they do, you will wish that you had chosen to fight back. Oh I'm sure you'll try to fight here, but without our help, you'll be dead within seconds."

I stared hard at the Shadowhunters as I silently praised Jasper, pride surging throughout my body. We all turn to leave, Sebastian standing proud as he walks out with us.

Breathing in the breath of fresh air, I sigh in relief, one more world to go and then we'll all be reunited.

"I just got a text from Natasha. Your father has made it to the Avengers Compound. All the training is going smoothly and the volunteers are learning quickly." Kai whispers in my ear, a small excited smile on his face.

"Let her know we'll be joining her soon and there's no luck with the Shadowhunters."

"Wait!"

I take that back.
