I woke up the next morning happy I didn't have school, we were on Winter break finally and I had made lots of plans with Ned and MJ to have a fun break.
I had even made a PowerPoint presentation to show the team later tonight about taking some time off to go Aspen for a white winter.
However today was going to be a relaxing day with Pete. Just lounging around to ease into our break.
I walked into the bathroom and showered blow drying my hair and tying it up into a ponytail.
I rubbed some moisturiser into my legs, arms and face and got dressed in some yoga pants and a hoodie to go running with Peter after breakfast. I walked out of my room to Clint making waffles.
"I love you so much" I said wiping pretend tears and grabbing a plate.
I added strawberries and a little cream onto my waffles as I looked for an empty seat at the table.
I sat in between Steve and Peter eating my waffles, it was a little awkward considering we got caught making out last night by Steve himself. "So plans for today?" Steve asked trying to break the silence.
"I sense tension" Pietro said appearing out of nowhere and I gave him a death stare wanting to drop the topic and not relive my embarrassment.
"Steve caught Peter and y/n with their tongues down each others throats yesterday in the pool" Sam smirked and I threw a fork at him on instinct.
"Atta boy" Tony smirked slapping Peter's shoulder who was melting in his seat from embarrassment.
I felt my own face get hot and I was seriously considering running away and never coming back. Maybe I'd get on a bus far away from here letting it take me to a destination far away from here.
"Plans" Steve repeated sternly and I took it as an opportunity to escape.
"We're going for a run and then training when we get back" I said as I ate a strawberry.
"Be safe ok" Steve instructed
"Ok dad" I said playfully attempting to act casual before grabbing Peter's arm and getting out of there.
"Hands to yourselves" I heard Pietro call out just as we left as well as a smack most likely by Natasha.
"I don't know when I'll be able to look them in the eyes again" Peter said and I laughed tying up the laces on my trainers.
We ran a few laps normally and then decided to race a few times, of course, Peter won because of his enhanced abilities but he let me win a few times.
"Ok to that tree and back if you win you owe me a kiss and if I win you owe me a kiss" Peter said before he ran off
"Hey that's not how it works" I called out running after him quickly. We both reached the tree seconds apart and I shook my head as I placed my hands on my knees trying to catch my breath.
My phone started ringing and I saw it was Tony "hello" I answered slightly out of breath as Peter jogged on the spot next to me barely breaking a sweat
"We need you guys back now we have a mission" Tony said and I groaned
"but it's winter break I had so many exciting plans" I protested
"Now y/n" Tony said and I realised he was being very serious because he used my actual name.
"On it" I said hanging up.
"Hey we gotta go back, new mission, Tony sounded serious" I said and Peter nodded as we began the run back to the tower.
