By the time I make it back home, my worst fear has come to life.
I walk to the guest room where she spent the night, our room, everything is empty of her things. There is no sign she was even here other than the food she made. Still left untouched from yesterday. It's as if she never lived here.
Race whimpers as he walks up to me, eyes downcast.
I crouch down and hug him.
"She left, Race."
He whines and tears stream down my face.
No other words have been running through my mind other than,
Please forgive me, Mi Amor.
