🛹 Landon's POV 🛹
Camden handed me his suitcase, walking away to go grab another bag. As I went to put it into the truck of Benny's car, I began to struggle. Jesus, this shit is heavy... I thought, sucking in a breath before using all my strength to lift it into the car.
"Dude, what do you have in that bag?" I laughed.
"Alchohol, obviously." He grunted, lifting another bag. The bottles clinked inside as he walked towards Benny's car.
"This is gonna be fuckin' awesome!" Kaden grinned, dragging two suitcases towards Ella's car.
I looked around, trying to locate the owners of the 4 vehicles we'd be taking. Erin, Max, Marlee, Eve, and Gene sat on the front steps of Erin's house, already sipping on a bottle of vodka that Benny had snuck from their parents. Dean, Evan, Brendon, Chevez, and Jonathan stood beside one of the cars, arguing about a video game if I had to guess.
Of the 19 people going on this trip, I only saw 11. Not counting myself, that is. Where were the missing 8?
"Hey Kaden, have you seen Benny or Ella?" I asked.
They thought for a moment. "I think they're inside on the phone with their mom. Not sure about Ella."
"Shit, really?"
They nodded, shutting the door of the trunk. "I don't think it was anything bad but I wasn't really listening."
I sighed, walking into Erin's house. "Hello?" I asked, walking into the kitchen.
Benny waved at me from where they were sitting, their phone up to their ear. "Yes mom, I'll keep them both out of trouble." They muttered. "Bye, love you."
They moved their phone away from their ear and hung up before setting the phone down on the counter.
"You alright?" I asked, sitting down next to them.
"Yeah, she just wants me to make sure Kaden and Dean don't die." They sighed. "Are we ready to go?"
I nodded, standing back up. "I'm just looking for Ella, have you seen her?"
"Ella's in the bathroom filling up her water bottle." They responded, walking past me back outside.
Now only 4 people were missing. Where could they be?
I wandered around Erin's house, searching for my friends. We were supposed to be on the road 2 hours ago but of course, this group could never get anywhere on time. I mentally groaned at the thought of being in the car for 4 hours with loud music and even louder people.
"JAXX STOP-" I heard someone yell. I walked towards Erin's bedroom, the door opened slightly. "I do NOT have a piss kink." Someone said, a wheeze following quickly after.
I knocked on the door so whoever was inside would know I was there before opening the door and walking in. Inside were the missing four.
"Oh, hey Landon." Jaxx greeted with a wave.
"We're getting ready to go," I replied. "are you guys ready?"
Rowan nodded. "We'll be outside in a minute."
"Alright, see you." I walked back through Erin's house to the outside. I checked all the cars to make sure they were all filled with gas and to make sure all the tires were functioning. Some of my friends who own cars don't take care of them as they should. Things like empty gas tanks and run-down tires were a common occurrence. Surprisingly, they were all full of gas and the tires were brand new.
I clapped my hands together in satisfaction. "We're all good to go!" I shouted out.
I climbed into my car, starting it up. Jonathan, Chevez, and Evan piled into the backseats while Camden got into the passenger seat. As soon as I pulled out the driveway, the cackling laughter and loud talking began.
I glanced into my review to make sure Erin and Ella were following behind me. Benny was in front of me, them being the only one who knows where to go. They wouldn't give anyone an address for some reason. They insisted on the area being a surprise.
"You guys ready?" I grinned, looking in the review mirror. They all erupted in cheers and I couldn't help but laugh.
Here we fucking go.
