🪐 Benny's POV 🪐

I watched in horror as Max and Camden stared at Harley and Eve's corpses. Both of their heads had been bashed in, their insides glistening in the morning sun.

I turned to the other side of the dock and vomited into the lake water. What the fuck is happening right now?

"Well, I guess we found them." Max muttered, turning away from their bodies and walking back to the cabin. Camden soon followed, looking distraught.

I decided it was better to be inside than outside with Harley and Eve, so I headed back myself. As I made my way inside, everyone stopped talking and looked at me.

I figured it was because they felt bad that Kaden and I were the ones to stumble across their corpses, but I was wrong.

"They were murdered. Someone here is a murderer." Marlee stated, making eye contact with everyone around her.

"I think I know who." Vincent said. We all stared at him with anticipation, everyone praying they didn't hear their own name. He made eye contact with me. "It's Benny."

I scoffed. "What?"

No one else laughed. It looked as if though they were genuinely considering the possibility.

"Wait- guys, you don't actually believe that, right? Why would I hurt anyone?" I frantically stated, realizing the weight of the accusation.

"You did get in a fight with Rowan yesterday... you have a motive." Max muttered.

"We were drunk! Are you guys serious?" I was shocked that we were even accusing anyone. There had to be someone hiding out in the woods, right? A psycho that saw us pull in and decided we would be his next targets?

"This is your family cabin. You know everything about this place. You knew there wouldn't be service so we couldn't call for help!" Landon chimed in. Everyone was staring at me now, like they'd figured out the last piece of the puzzle.

"No... no, I didn't do this! Please, I didn't hurt anyone!" I was simply begging for someone, anyone, to believe me at this point.

"We need to just get out of here. We need to go to the nearest police station and get help." Erin said, drawing everyone's eyes away from me.

Everyone simply agreed and we all head out to our cars. Our luggage wasn't as important as our safety, so we left it behind.

As people were getting into their designated vehicles, Landon spoke up.

"Uh, guys... my tires are slashed."

"What?!" Camden exclaimed, hopping out of Landon's cars and inspecting the tires for himself.

"The cabin has 4 spare tires." I stated, getting out to check my own tires just in case.

"Damn it, mine are slashed too." I muttered.

Ella and Erin both yelled that theirs were also slashed, leaving us with no way to leave.

"Here, open your trunks. Each car should at least have a spare, which'll get us one car." Landon said, opening the trunk of his car and pulling a tire out from under the cars padding.

"And the cabin has four, so we have two working cars." Kaden said, heading back inside with Dean to collect the spare tires.

"But that means we can only take ten people. Six of us will have to stay behind." Max announced. Everyone immediately began to argue for who would stay and who would go.

"SHUT UP!" Erin barked, causing everyone to quickly go silent.

"I think that we could pull names, that way it's fair." Marlee suggested.

Max wrote everyone's names on pieces of paper from my car and put them into Landon's beanie. He put his hand inside and pulled out a few slips.

Ella, Landon, and I had all been called which worked perfectly. (As these were our cars.) But I quickly stated that Kaden and Dean had to come with me.

"Why should we let them go with you, murderer?" Vincent argued.

"Because they are my family. You can think I killed your girlfriend all you want, but I will not tolerate you trying to keep me from my own blood." I snapped, glaring at him.

"Fuck you. I know you killed Rowan. You talk like you care about other people but we ALL know what you did." He seethed, beginning to invade my personal space. He and Rowan weren't so different after all.

"Rowan wasn't the only one who fucking died! Do you even care Harley and Eve are gone?!"

  "I CARE ABOUT EVERYONE HERE!"

  "YOU DON'T ACT LIKE IT!"

"FUCKING SHUT UP!" Erin yelled, causing our argument to come to an immediate end. "Benny, Dean and Kaden can come with you."

I silently nodded, backed away from Vincent. How crazy is it that just the night before, we'd been talking about Loch Ness monsters and penises and now he wants me dead.

  Life's funny that way.

"Benny?" Dean pipes up, grabbing my attention. "Can I stay here?"

"What?! No, you're coming with me." I exclaimed.

He leaned in and whispered in my ear. "Dude, one of these guys could be the killer. Let me stay behind and I'll help protect them."

I pulled away from him and nodded, watching as he walked back into the cabin.

"So, Benny and Ella are driving?" Max asked, Ella and I both nodding in confirmation.

"Kaden, Jaxx, Landon, and I will be in Benny's car while Brendon, Jonathan, Evan, and Marlee will be in Ella's car."

  🎈 Ella's POV 🎈

My group all piled into my car and we began to head out. My car had its own GPS so I drove ahead while Benny followed. I immediately noticed something was off with my car, but I figured it was because of the new tires and continued on.

"So... Benny killed them?" Marlee muttered, starting me.

"I don't know. It just doesn't seem like them." I responded.

"It's always the ones you least expect." She stated. I only sighed.

As we continued driving, I realized my car was beginning to stop. "What the hell?" I cursed, looking down at my gear shift.

"Ella, what's going on?" Marlee asked.

"The car is slowing down." I responded. We were going at 80 mph, but the car was now moving at 70.

"ELLA, WATCH OUT!" Evan yelled, leaning forward in his seat and pointing at the road.

I looked up and saw a deer in our lane. I pressed the break as hard as I could, sending Evan through the windshield. "FUCK!" I screamed as the car flipped forward.

All I could hear were my friends screams as the car flipped over multiple times, until I heard nothing. The car flipped one last time, crushing all of us.

I breathed heavily, every inch of my body in immense pain. Tears streamed out of my eyes as I realized I wasn't going to survive. I weakly called out to my friends, getting no response.

They're dead, I know they are. No one could survive this.

Not even me.
