Catra and Adora

Mere hours had passed after just saving their home planet. All the princesses had returned to their kingdoms, and the best friend squad had excitedly returned to Bright Moon. As they entered the kingdom grounds, memories came flooding back to Catra. She still couldn't believe that she tried to overthrow Adora and the rest of the kingdom, just for more power. A wave of guilt had washed over her. Just then, Adora carefully grabbed her hand and made gentle circles with her thumb as if she knew what Catra was feeling. Although she was now a part of the best friend squad, she knew she still had so much to overcome, and so much to do in order to prove herself trustworthy; just like Adora.

Both girls being tired was an understatement. Both of them felt like they could sleep for eternity. Saving the world had its perks, but they couldn't wait to take a break from being heroes for awhile. They deserve the break, considering they're the reason that bright moon and every other place on Etheria even still exists.

They entered the peaceful castle, happy to finally be back. Home. What did home mean for Catra now? Now that she's not with the Horde in the Fright Zone anymore or serving Horde Prime, what was she to do? They made their way to Adora's room, as Catra's face emerged with sheer amazement. The room was full of pink, and had a waterfall, and it was huge. She had never seen anything like it before, but then again she wasn't surprised.

"Would you like to sleep in here, or would you like your own room?" Adora asked quietly, trying not to disrupt the amazement on Catra's adorable face.
"Uh, I think I'll stick with you" Catra said in a nervous tone.
"Come on, I'll show you around the castle" Adora replied cheerfully.

Adora knew she wouldn't want to sleep alone. Catra was just like Adora when she first came to Bright Moon; which wasn't a surprise. It was all so different to them. After getting Catra a spot on the bed, they went and wandered the halls of the Bright Moon Castle. They went and raided the kitchen, then they went outside and walked around. They passed Glimmer's window, and her and Bow had been talking quietly about the horrific events of the past day. Adora was glad that they made it out okay. She wouldn't know what to do if she had lost either of them.

As they went back inside to continue roaming the castle, Adora stopped in her tracks with a muddled look on her face.
"Adora- did you get us lost?" Catra asked with a smirk on her face.
"What? No!.....maybe.." Adora said quietly, a slight blush creeping up to her face and ears.
"I thought you LIVED here" Catra snorted.
"I do...but I haven't been around the entire castle before.." Adora tried to defend herself"
"You're such an idiot" Catra remarked, trying to hold back a roaring laughter.

The two laughed as they tried to make their way back to somewhat familiar scenery. Eventually, they found the entrance of the castle, and decided to go back to Adora's room to clean themselves up and eventually sleep. It was amazing that either of them still had as much energy as they did, considering they just saved the world.

The two made their way back to Adora's room quietly. They enjoyed the peace and comfort that their presence brought each other. Even if they were completely silent, they still enjoyed each other's company. Before climbing into bed, they needed to get cleaned up, as to not dirty the bed.

"Wanna take a bath?" Adora asked cautiously, as she was hoping Catra would happily join her.
"Only with you" Catra said quietly. She hated water, but if Adora was there, it was at least a little bit more bearable.

Adora blushed, but at the same time she couldn't help but smile. She was with the girl she loved, and anything she did with Catra was fine with her. Catra was her person. The girl who made her feel special. The only girl in the world who understands her. If she was with Catra she felt like she could do anything.

Adora went to the bathroom to start running the water, waiting for Catra to follow her. The bathroom was quite big. Bigger than anything they'd have seen in the Fright Zone. Adora herself was still adjusting to the change, but she was happy to be there. As the bath slowly filled up with steaming water, she added a little soap just to make things fun. Catra creeped in quietly, as to not disturb Adora as she prepped the bath. She was afraid of what was to come, and she was not enthused about being around water, but if it made Adora happy, it'd make her happy.
