In the light of the Harvest Moon, on top of a rock shaped like a howling wolf stood two girls. Directly below the rock, a couple of hundred feet down, is a still lake. The two girls admire the reflection of the moon on the surface of the water. One of the girls squeezes the oval pendant on her necklace before bowing her head and putting her hands together. She closes her eyes, trying to imagine what the Moon goddess would look like. She takes a deep breath in and whispers,
"Dear Moon goddess, hear my prayer, please make my mate cool,"
"Is that seriously what you're going to ask for?" You turn to your friend Ji-an with a surprised look on your face.
"Yes! I don't want to be stuck with some boring nerd for the rest of my life. What would you ask for?"
You turn to the horizon and smile, "I want someone responsible and trustworthy and..." You turn to Ji-an and give her a smirk, "...super hot,"
You girls giggle when the sounds of shuffling come from behind. You both turn to see Hosoek or Hobi as all his friends call him, slowly making his way up to the both of you,
"Oh good! You're both still here. I didn't want to jump by myself."
He walks slowly to the edge where the two of you stand and whimpers in fear. He tries to look down but finds himself too scared. He grabs onto your arm and cowers,
"I can't do this."
"You have to Hobi, it's the only way to get your gift from the Moon goddess."
"M-maybe I don't want the gift anymore," Hobi walks back and sits on the ground.
"Don't be like that Hobi! Don't you want to find your mate?" Ji-an walks to him and try to get him to stand up again. He slowly rises to his feet but holds on to Ji-an tightly.
"Don't you want to be able to meet your inner animal?" You walk to the other side of Hobi, "What's the point of being a shifter if you can't shift into an animal?"
"Also, we'll have to kick you out of the pack if you don't go through this" Ji-an points out.
"Fine, fine, I can do this," Hobi turns to the horizon and inches close to the edge.
"You have to go first Hobi," you tell him.
"WHAT?! WHY?! You do it Y/N! You're braver than me!"
"You're older so..."
"Yeah bu—aaah!" before Hobi can finish his sentence, Ji-an pushes him off the edge. You both watch him flail before hitting the water. You both then look to each other,
"You're next," Ji-an warns you. Just then, you two hear a deep voice,
"Hey! Sorry I'm late." Namjoon emerges from behind.
"Oh look, Y/N, mister responsible and trustworthy," Ji-an nudges you then turns to Namjoon, "Joon, do you consider yourself responsible and trustworthy?"
