Part 30: The Moon Goddess Must Be Mistaken

Yoongi decided to put off going to the pack and having a chat with his uncle to better prepare himself for the meeting with BigHit. He wanted to finish up and record some songs just in case the company wanted a demo. Namjoon joined him and spent some nights at his hyung's apartment. You and Ji-an ended up bringing food for the boys and Ji-an brought some change of clothes for her mate.

The group decided to head over to the town where BigHit was located Wednesday night so that no one had to stress out about waking up early to drive. Two cars had been used to head over to the hotel. Yoongi, Taehyung, Jungkook, and you were in one car while Jin, Namjoon, and Chan were in another. Your parents weren't exactly happy with Jungkook missing a day of school but Yoongi seemed to have convinced them to let him come. Meanwhile, Chan's parents didn't put up much of a fight when the he told them about the opportunity.

The drive to the hotel is quiet in your car with the exception for the occasional question and requests for snacks to be passed around. You figure that Yoongi is probably really nervous and that's why he is silent. Your hand slowly reaches toward his shoulder and you rub his back gently.

"What's up?" Yoongi refuses to look away from the road.

"You need to relax," you tell him.

"I'm relaxed, what are you talking about?"

"They're going to love you,"

"Yeah, hyung and if they don't want you or Namjoon hyung, we won't join them," Taehyung assures his brother while munching on some chips.

"I don't know what you guys are going on about, I'm fine. I'm just focusing on driving," Yoongi clenches his jaws while tightening his grip on the steering wheel. You turn to give Taehyung a knowing look and he returns it.

"Alright, jagi, if you say so," you pull your hand away but Yoongi quickly grabs it. He rubs his thumb gently against your skin while continuing to drive in silence.

Upon getting to the hotel, Jin checks in for the group and distributes the people per room. He had only gotten two rooms with two queen beds to save some money. Jungkook, Taehyung, Yoongi and you are assigned to one room while Jin takes Namjoon and Chan in his room. 

"Alright, everyone put your stuff down and we'll meet in the lobby to go out to dinner," Jin announces before letting the rest of you guys to get to your room.

The moment your group enters the room, Taehyung throws his bag to the floor and jumps on the bed closest to the window. You smile at him while putting your stuff on the other bed,

"Come on Tae, we have to head down for dinner."

"You guys go on without me," Yoongi says while taking out his laptop from his backpack.

"What? Why?" Taehyung sits up and looks at his brother quizzically.

"I'm gonna finish this one song,"

"Is that what you were thinking about the whole time you were driving?"

"No..." Yoongi looks away for a moment then places his laptop on the desk, "Yes,"

"Hyung you gotta eat," Jungkook points out, "It's good for your brain."

"I'll eat later." Yoongi sits down and turns on his laptop before putting on his headphone. You sigh and usher the two younger boys out to get dinner with the rest of the group. You knew better than to try and convince Yoongi to leave his music when his mind is set on it. It would be easier to convince the world to rotate backwards.

Yoongi sits back in his chair, listening to his new song after some time. It's good but he can't stop feeling like something is missing. It needs some punch do it, but what exactly? Yoongi clicks around the music production program, trying to slow down the tempo a little bit before pressing play to listen to the melody once more. Within the first two seconds he already knows it's wrong so he speeds up the tempo and decides to add another element to try and solve his problem. As Yoongi leans in to press play, he suddenly loses vision by something cupping his face.
