"He better not go in there before we arrive!" I said to the others.
We all pedaled as fast as we could.
"This is bullshit." Eddie wheezed. "Bullshit. Bullshit. Bullshit."
Eddie kept muttering under his breath the whole time. Richie biked faster and came up beside me.
"You okay?" he asked, looking at me.
"Yeah, keep your eyes on the road dipshit."
We soon arrived at Neibolt House.
"BILL!" Beverly yelled.
Bill was standing in front of the house
"You can't go in there!" I yelled.
"This is crazy!" Bev said.
He turned around and faced us. We all stood in front of the porch, looking at Bill.
"Look," Bill began. "You don't have to come inside with me. But what happens when another Georgie goes missing? Or another Betty? Or an Ed Corcoran? Or even one of us? Are you just going to pretend it didn't happen? Just like everyone else in town? Because I can't. I go home and all I see is that Georgie isn't there. I see his toys and clothes, but not him. So walking into this house for me......it's easier than walking into my own."
Tears trickled down my cheeks as I thought of Georgie. Richie put a hand on my shoulder and breathed out "Wow."
"What?" I asked, wiping my tears.
"Bill didn't stutter once."
I sighed and moved his hand from my shoulder. "I'm going in."
"No you don't have to-" Bill started.
"I know that. But I want to." I took a deep breath. "Georgie was like my own little brother. I've known him since the day he was born. I want to help you find him."
Bill smiled at me.
"Someone has to stay outside as a lookout." Stan said, looking around. "Just incase something happens, right?"
"Okay. W-who wants to stay out here?" Ben asked.
Everyone raised their hands, except for me, Bill and Bev.
The people who ended up going in were me, Bill, Eddie and Richie. We crept into the house slowly.
"I can't believe I pulled the short straw." Richie said. "You guys are lucky we're not measuring dicks."
"Yeah because mine will be bigger than yours." I grinned.
"Shut up Richie and October!" Eddie rolled his eyes. "Ugh, I can smell it."
"Don't breath through your mouth." Richie advised.
"How come?" questioned Eddie, looking around cautiously.
"Cuz then you're eating it." I whispered.
Eddie gagged, and I walked around, touching a worn and broken desk. The dust stuck to my fingers. I wiped my hands on Richie's shirt and he pulled away from me.
Richie looked into another room and started walking in. I turned back to Eddie, who was shaking slightly. I placed my hand on his shoulder, pulling him in. "You're okay Ed."
He was shorter than me. He was the shortest one out of all of us. He pressed against me and used his inhaler. Looking into the other room, Richie was holding a piece of paper and was looking confused.
"What's that?" Bill asked, as the three of us went over to him.
"It-it says I'm missing." he croaked.
