The boy kept waving and waving then he came over.
"Hey" he smiled
"Um... Hi?" I smiled, too
Then, we got our check and headed out.
Everything seems to be rushed and finished here.
When we got in the car my grandma kept on talking about Canada.
"Your aunt and uncle visit often. Isn't that nice?"
"Yep."
Honestly, I wanted to explore and not be told everything. My grandpa pitched in after her long story about my uncle.
"Maybe Kendall likes to explore?" he wrinkled at me precisely after his mouth closed.
"Do you?" she asked
My plans became sweaty. I didn't want to hurt her feelings
"Kinda. But your information helped! Sorry. I don't know what to say."
"Oh please! I don't mind."
Walking in they showed me their walk way. Instead of concrete it was a birch wood, white painted, beautiful, old bridge.
"I love it!" I stroked my hand on the railing on the sides.
After getting slivers after slivers I wandered around picking at my fingers.
There are so many beautiful features!
After about an hour and a half I made my way back inside. Suddenly, I saw A glimmer of light below the bridge. Once I got closer I saw an old leather looking cover, of a book! I darted over to try and pick them both up immediately! When I got about 3 feet to the bridge I stared at the challenge front of me, the river. If I went and and grabbed the book and whatever else there was, how to explain to my grandma that my boots are muddy and wet? They only think I'm exploring around the woods. My thoughts bickered in my head! Do it! Don't do it! I glared at my watch to see it was almost 9 o'clock. It's not exactly late my grandma thinks it is. I'm sure she'll call me at any minute. Then, without thinking I jumped in the river below the bridge and grabbed the book and what turned out to be a key! Then I hopped out and stomped my feet to get all the water off. I had perfect timing too because after I stomped all the water off my boots my grandma called me inside. When I got upstairs to my bedroom and in my pajamas I pulled my hair up in a messy bun and sat down to read the book. I tried pulling it open, but it wouldn't budge! After, a couple times of trying I spotted a keyhole! I scrambled for the key and turned the lock. The first page was written in Latin. The second was French. Third, Chinese.
"What a disappointment!" I mumbled
Although I was upset and disappointed I kept looking.
"There has to be something in here in English!"
I kept looking determined to find something! After pages of looking the 79th page was in English. I read it aloud.
I didn't really understand the concept of any of it. Before, I had the chance to read it once more lights flashed and my skin turned a burning white! My blankets flew off of me as I floated in the air and then dropped like kitting happened. I looked around for any damage but nothing was there. Except, my diary disappeared! Next thing I knew, I found myself exhausted! What just happened?
