Just Like a Dream

Welcome Wishes

I decided to make another wish. One for grandma. One to have a clue where she is. So I muttered "I wish grandma would come back now".Suddenly the garage opened! Then, the somebody was fooling with the door! Just then, they came in! That they, was grandma!

I ran over to hug grandma and asked her where she had gone at this time, but before I hugged her completely she pulled away and asked
"What happened?"

I gasped immediately and thought about what I wished for exactly

I wish grandma would come back now

"What do you mean, grandma?" I pretended like I didn't know and I felt bad but she couldn't know.

"I was just innocently driving in my car and I was here! I don't mind of course but how do you suppose that happened?"

"Well where were you?" I sat by my grandma on the couch

"About a block away."

I thought I should tell her.

"I wished you here! Grandma, I know it sounds crazy but I found this book" I handed her the mysterious book "and I wished you back here. Read it! There is so much you can learn from that book! I did at least."

My grandma looked thrilled yet confused then she flipped through the pages and gained the look of disappointment. I noticed immediately.

"What's wrong? You don't believe it?" I couldn't control my voice from being a little mad.

"What is there to believe? There is nothing written!" She handed me the book back and walked into the kitchen. I looked through it and all the pages were normal and fine. I wanted to tell grandma they were fine, but I didn't want to worry her. She probably already thinks I'm insane!

I was reading the book until grandpa told me to go outside.

"Get some fresh air. We need some ingredients and other things at the store. Can you go grab them for us?"

"Sure, grandpa, just let me get ready."

I showered and combed out my hair until it was straight. My hair is perfectly straight after it is wet (and dried of course) also soft! I did my hair in a fishtail to the left side. I got Black Converse All Stars and white socks, ripped jean shorts, and a black forever 21 shirt that was kinda like a crop top just above your waist so you didn't have to wear a thing under it (like a tank top).

I was about to run out the door when my grandparents stopped me

"Kendall, honey?"

"Yes?"

"Here's some money. Use the extra cash on yourself."

"Okay, thanks!"

I ran out the door and to the closest super market.

"Where are the stores here anyway?"

I pulled out my iPhone 6 and looked at locations near me. The only things that came up were

Ben's Super Market

Lisa's Grocery Shoppe

Naslang Sister's Beauty Salon & Shop

Supreme Dollar

The closet grocery store was Ben's so I headed there. I walked in to a pine tree scented store, I loved pine since I was 5! I grabbed a cart and looked at the list of everything they needed. It wasn't much just:

Eggs
Milk
Sugar
Cheese

It amazes me how much they save a month! I steered my cart into the produce isle and ran into somebody with my cart.

"I'm really sorry." I said pulling my cart back to me. When I looked up I realized it was the boy from the diner.

"It's fine." he said and pulled his cart away from mine so we could steer freely once again.

I smiled. "Thanks."

"For what?"

I looked down and pushed my hair back. Then I looked up and said "Umm.... For Aaaah.... Taking the carts away from each other. If that even makes sense."

He laughed "Your really funny. Need help finding anything?"

I felt different. I had a crush on him and I didn't even know his name. "Yeah I think I could use some help." Honestly, I didn't need help. It's a grocery store! The isles are labeled! How can I not find something? Anyway, this is one of the first things I didn't need to wish for here!

  Unfortunately the next day was school, and I didn't want to wish it away this time. It felt so wrong to do it again! I was hoping I would be in a homeroom with a friendly teacher not one like Mr.Barzin from 7th, last year. He never let anybody do anything bedsides breath, technically. His rule chart was as long as a freeway! It was:
1. No talking
2. No turning around
3. No passing notes
4. No making pencil/pen noises
5. No yelling out
6. No cell phones
7. No tapping
8. No whispering
9. NO CONVERSATIONS
If caught doing any of these things you shall be written up immediately!
I have never had a worse teacher than him!

  An hour and a half later I was at the bus stop sitting on the curb. "If only there was someone to talk to" I kept thinking. I saw everyone laughing and talking and wondered why I couldn't be like that. I thought about my wishes. Would it be so wrong to wish just one friend? I honestly wouldn't think anybody's notice! They never focus on the "new girl" but sometimes I don't even have to wonder why. Then I decided I should wish up the perfect friend! I closed my eyes and thought
