I looked up.
"You okay ma'am?" the bus driver looked down at me concerned.
"Yes sir. Thank you sir." I stumbled up to the bus stairs and sat in the front row behind the driver. Suddenly a girl came up and sat next to me.
I took a deep breath. Before I could say anything she smiled and said
"Hi. What's your name?"I was astonished, truly. Nobody in this school was really that friendly! Did my wish work. To make sure she was real I shook her hand.
"Kendall. My name is Kendall Acasto." I smiled back at her "Yours?"
"Oh mine? I'm McKenna Rachel Saulm"
{ pronunciation: Soul • um }We rode next to each other and got to know each other.
Then the boy from the diner, and just recently grocery store came by. I slumped in my seat hoping he wouldn't notice me, but he did. "Hey! You're the girl I keep seeing everywhere. You go to this school, too?" he asked smiling widely. "Yeah... Um... I go here too." I said forcing a smile. "Cool! Do you mind if I sit near you two?" Rachel smiled and nudged my elbow. "Yeah, of course you could sit with us!" I said. Finally, something I don't regret saying. I didn't want to wish for anything, it could make all this good go bad. Couldn't it?
