"Mmm, delicious," said Dart through a mouthful of fresh trout.
"Dart, you've got to stop eating so much!" scolded her mother.
"Ugh, I eat when I'm bored," she replied, "maybe if you let us out of the Hidden World..."
"I thought you'd learned your lesson," said Toothless.
"I have, I promise I'll be extra careful!" Dart whined.
"Come on," interrupted Ruffrunner, "let's go to the forest."
...
"I know I'm supposed to be the responsible big sister and all that," said Dart, "but I'm dying to get out into the world again!"
"Me too!" added Pouncer, "We just have to wait a little longer, they'll change their minds!"
"Are you sure?" asked Dart.
"I'm sure," reassured Pouncer.
They walked in silence for a while, taking in the sea of green that surrounded them.
"Ah... Isn't this nice?" smiled Ruffrunner.
"Yeah, I guess..." admitted Dart, "but-"
An ear-splitting roar cut through their conversation.
"W-what was that?" Ruffrunner whispered.
"Our chance to prove ourselves to our parents!" replied Dart.
Dart charged through the undergrowth towards the sound, her head exploding with fantasies about her saving the day and being allowed to leave the Hidden World.
But when is it ever that easy?
