Chapter 5- The Darkness

Sorry guys, I haven't updated in a while, I was at my grans yesterday and I am back at school so I am not going to update daily now. Sorry x

Zoë's P.O.V

As soon as I got in my room I burst out crying. 'Why does everything go wrong?' A knock on the door drifted my thoughts. "Go away" I said calmly.
"Zoë it's me?" I heard Emma say, she said it as more of a question. I unlocked the door and dragged her in and quickly locked the door in case Alfie came back. "What happened? If you don't mind me asking."
"It's ok. Well we were at this restaurant, and I needed the toilet, so I went and when I came back I saw Alfie wi...wi..." I tried to say it but it just wouldn't come and I burst out crying.
"It's ok Zoë, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to."
"He was with this other girl outside of the restaurant, talking and then he leaned in and full on kissed her so I walked past him, chucked the ring at him and drove off."
"Whoa, hold on. What ring?"
"Oh, I forgot to mention that bit. When you were at the hospital with Joe he asked me to marry him and I said yes. That's why we went out to dinner; we didn't want to tell anyone though until tomorrow or something."
"Ok. Do you want me to ring Alfie?"
"Yeah please I don't think I can talk to him in this state, so if he asks for me to talk to him just tell him something please."
"Ok, do you want me to send in Joe, I think you need to tell him about this?"
"Yeah, Oh, and Emma, thank you."
"For what?" I asked.
"For being such a good friend to me, I think we are going to be best friends." I gave her a hug and she went and got Joe. I told him the story and then I heard Emma saying hello to someone on the phone."

Emma's P.O.V
"Hello."
"Hi, Emma."
"Where are you?"
"Nando's."
"Stay where you are I'm coming to get you."
"ok." I hung up.
I told Joe I was going to talk to Alfie and he agreed not to tell Zoë. "What are you going to tell her?" I asked.
"That you went out for a little bit of shopping, so make sure you come back with something."
"Ok." I headed towards the door when it burst open and I fell to the floor, then everything went black.

Sorry for how short it is. The next chapter is hopefully going to be longer.
