Chapter 10

*the next day*

Emma's P.O.V

"My sister, her boyfriend and I can look after her until she gets better." Joe told the doctor. I was hopefully getting discharged today. I could only go if I was fine and there was someone to look after me.

"Well then Miss Deviner you can leave. you just need to fill out a form to prove someone is going to be there with you until we say it is fine and then you are free to go. Just remember to take your tablets and you should be fine. With that the doctor left to get my form.

"Joe, you don't have to stay with me, I'm fine." the truth is I wasn't fine. I was depressed that's what the tablets are for but everyone thinks that it's to stop me from fainting. The doctor found out about my past and I told him I had thought about doing it again,so he gave me these tablets. lets just hope they work.

"No, I am not leaving you in the condition you're in. The doctor told me what the tablets are for. You could have told me, I'm here for you." he hugged me tightly. I didn't want to let go, and I don't think we would have but the doctor came in with the form and I couldn't wait to get out of this place.

"Can we go now?"

"Yeah."

I went to get my bag but got stopped

"Let me get that for you"

"No Joe you don't ha..."

"I am and there is nothing you can do about it." he said with a cheeky grin.

"But Joe."

"No buts just go."

"Fine, but we're getting Nando's on the way back and I'm paying!"

"I'm not arguing with that, especially if you're paying."

We walked out the hospital, Zoe and Alfie were at home so I sent a group text.

E: Just got out of hospital, on way to Nando's. You guys want anything?

A: How are you getting home? You're not walking are you? We'll comes and pick you up. Stay there.

E: It's fine, Joe is here with me, we're getting dinner at Nando's and then we're coming back with yours, if you answer my question.

A: Okay. Sorry I will have my usual thanks. X

E: And Zoe? X

A: She's asleep so just bring her back her usual. X

E: Alf I don't know her usual, I only know yours. X

(A/N I have never been to Nando's so I don't know what there is. Sorry)

A: Oh, it's a grilled chicken burger with salad.

E: Thanks see you when we get back.

A: Bye Emmie

E: Bye Alf

"We're here"

"Yey!" I shouted

"Ok calm down or you're not getting any."

"Ok, I'll calm down." I giggled

"Table for two please and two takeouts." (A/N again I don't know how it works or anything.)

"Follow me please"

"Thank You." I said as we sat down.

*just finished desert*

"Thank you Joe."

"I haven't done anything you're the one paying." I said with a slight laugh.

"No I mean for being there for me no ones ever been here for me apart from Alfie and well you know who. I know we only met a week ago but it feels like I've know you for years. Thanks for everything you've done for me."

"It's ok what are best friends for if they can't be there for one another."

I gave him a quick smile.

"I'm just going to the bathroom"

"Ok, I'll be here."

I went to the bathroom luckily I had brought my handbag with some concealer and I had a few spots so I quickly covered them and went back out.

I walked to our table to see a girl standing there.

"I'm back."

"Emma this is Lilly."

"As in the girl who broke your heart?"

"Yeah."

"I'm going to go now. Nice to see you again Joe and nice to meet you ..."

"Emma" i said coldly

"Well nice to meet you Emma." she walked off towards a man around the same age as her and a little girl.

"Do you wanna go, you look abut upset." i said to Joe

"Yeah, if you don't mind."

"I will go and pay you go to the car."

"I already paid."

"Joe I said I was going to pay."

"Yeah and you did, I paid with your money."

"Only you Joe."

We put the takeouts in the back seat and drove back to Zalfies home.
