"[F/N]! Devine! It's time to get up!" A voice shouted; it echoed throughout the halls of your childhood home. The timing of this was daunting to you, sluggishly dragging your head out to look at the analog clock on the desk next to your bed. It was exactly 6:30 AM. Your school wouldn't start at 8:30, during this time you and your adoptive sibling would begin getting ready then get into Devine's car for school. You still hated waking up this early and despised it even more after a long vacation.

You quickly had awoken and began to scramble out of your bed. You felt like an earthworm beneath the pavement while it rained, continuing to squirm around like some infant who can't be left alone on a bed without the idea of falling off flooding the adults' minds. "Urk-!" You only had a second before your shoulder hit the floor, your body following as you prepared to the take the rest of the pain with your back. A loud thump causing you to groan and quickly flinch at the coldness of your floor, instinctively clutching your blanket in hopes you could replicate your nice warm bed.

You felt your arse and feet on the cold wood floor making a shiver trail throughout your nervous system which was accompanied by their evil henchmen; the AC that your mother blasted throughout the house. Your mother scolded you and explained how it was still the summertime, the hot sun was baking the house, and the heat wouldn't settle down until 1 AM. The morning, however, would be the biggest slap in the face for you as the sudden cooldown hit you terribly.

You groaned as you thought about today; the first day of your sophomore year.

Scratch that.

The phrasing echoed throughout your mind as your groan fell into a satisfying sigh; You decided to remind yourself of your goal for this year. A goal that brought your heart to the warming point that rivaled the sun's oblivion. A large smile went across your face making your serotonin boost into something more bountiful than just a simple little video of cute animals or your favorite food being made.

No, this was much more different.

You decided to go find an outfit you felt like wearing on this day, you didn't take too much consideration as it was your favorite outfit and you loved wearing it; it fits you mentally and physically, it was the perfect outfit to fit your overly positive mind at this moment. You had a large smile as you left it out on your bed and made your way to the bathroom.

Once you made your way into the hallway, you would go into the bathroom to do your necessities for this morning before your sibling would come bursting out of their room in an annoyed state. Your mom soon came up to check in on you both, her eyes laid on Devine's hair and with a comment that forced you to stifle your laugh; "Oh wow, I didn't know we had one of the Thundercats living with us!"

They slammed the bathroom door after colliding their shoulder against yours causing you to wobble a bit, you leaned against the wall with a breathy chuckle. You couldn't help but laugh at the joke before your sibling would go off on you and cause you to laugh out of confusion. Ever since Devine was given full control of their hair your mother always had a teasing comment, Devine would often find themselves rolling their eyes at such before your mother came to coddle and compliment them on their creativity.

You laughed at them on their hair, especially when they used Cheetara for reference; The blonde color was exactly the same with their black roots causing it to fade a bit, it was in a similar shape also but was much longer as it reached their mid-back. When you pointed it out for the first time when you were 10 and Devine was 12, their friends laughed about it for a solid 20 Minutes.

Devine would then escort their friends out of the house after the hangout where they would promptly beat you up, playfully but still had malicious intent behind it.
