Chris POV

1 month later

It's been a crazy month, Sam was put on bed rest and I've been travelling here and there for the new movie. I've had my mum and brother sit with her so someone is always there.
Today I'm on my way home, I've filmed everything I need too and I get to have sometime off to spend with Sam and our baby. I can't wait to see her, I've missed her so much.
I've just pulled up and I rush to the door, as I open it I see my mum on the phone. She looks over to me "oh thank god!"
"What? What's wrong?"
"Sam's water has just broke, I'm on the phone to the hospital. Go see her"
I throw my bags down and rush to our bedroom, when I walk in I see her bent over, holding Scott's hand and crying.
"Baby?"
"Chris?"
I walk over and take her hand, scott moves so I can stand behind her, she leans on me.
"I'm here baby girl, just breathe okay"
"I'm trying but chris this hurts"
I kiss the side of her head and try to calm her, I've been reading so many books about what the fathers role is in the mist of giving birth. The woman do the most painful thing so I need to make sure I'm supporting Sam every step of the way.
"You got this baby, you are the strongest woman I know okay"
She nods and squeezes my hand, I look over at my brother "how far apart are her contractions?"
"This one was only 5 minutes"
"Okay, time to go to the hospital baby"
Just then my mum walks in, "he is right, doctor said to go in now"
I help Sam to the car and scott grabs the bags.
She is in so much pain and I don't know what to do for her. I drive us to the hospital and we get placed in a side room straight away.
Sam refuses an epidural, so they give her some other pain medication.
She is currently on a birthing ball, taking deep breathes.
I'm stood behind her rubbing circles on her back, it seems to be taking pressure off slightly.
My mum has called everyone and let them know, she is in the waiting room with Sam's uncle and my brother.
"Chris?"
"Yes baby"
"I'm sorry"
"Sorry for what?"
"For anything I might say or do during labour"
I laugh "baby, I don't care what you do okay, you can beat me black and blue if you need too, whatever you have to do to take some of the pain away okay"
She nods and smiles at me "I love you so much"
"I love you too baby girl"

An hour later and Sam is now 8cm, she is doing so well and the doctor says everything is coming along great.
"Chris!! I can't do this much longer"
"I know baby, but just a little longer and we have our baby okay. You can do this"
She fully leaning on me, the pain is getting so much for her. They keep offering an epidural but she refuses.
"Come on baby, you got this"
After another hour the doctor finally says she is fully dilated and it's time to push.
She looks up at me, she has tears flowing "I can't do this chris, I'm so tired"
I kiss her forehead and hold her hand "I know baby but come on you got this. We are so close to have our baby in our arms and only you can do it baby"
She nods and starts pushing, she is pushing with all her strength. After 30 minutes our baby is finally here.
"Congratulations you have a baby girl"
"Oh god! She is so beautiful"
They place her on Sam's chest and clean her off. She is so beautiful.
"Chris look what we did"
"I know, I see baby girl. She is so amazing"
The doctor was just doing the last few bits, the nurses took her and weighed her and wrapped her in a blanket. She weighed 6lb 7oz.
"What's this little ones name?"
"Layla Lisa Evans"
"Beautiful name"
They left us to have time as a family, I couldn't believe I was a dad. I'm a dad to a beautiful little girl. Im so unbelievably happy, all I need to do now is marry my soul mate and my life is complete.
