Not a coincedence

Its not how it should be.

"Siddharth I wanted to speak to you" nandini said walking inside his room as rohit woke up because of her knocks. Siddharth came out of the washroom and asked her to come inside. She smiled at rohit who smiled back and left the room.
" What happened nanz?" He said wearing his shirt as nandini sighed.
"Meet me at your balcony with two cups of coffee" she ordered as she went towards the balcony of his room . He immediately got two cups and filled them with coffee by the coffee machine in his room . He sauntered towards her and forwarded the glass to her.
" the weather is nice today " he muttered sipping his coffee.
"What makes you think that I am leaving you sid?" She questioned bluntly as siddharth chocked on his drink.
"You now have the courage to speak on this. " he said calmly as she nodded at him.
"I spoke to someone and realised how wrong it was of me to ignore the topic. Its best for both of us to talk it out. Tell me what do you feel about me and Manik. This marriage. The live -in thing. Whatever is in your mind siddharth . I am ready to answer it all this time. " she said softly as he slumped his shoulders .
"I don't know nandini. I am just insecure . We have grown up together. I have always seen you around. I am accustomed to come to you when I am in problems. It just doesn't feels right. It felt as if Manik snatched you from me. You are my sister. You are supposed to live with me. I know I sound crazy but that's how I feel nandu. I am not at all ashamed at it. For me family meant you and rohini mom since the start. Ever since mom ,dad and your father died in the car accident. This is all I am left with. I don't really want you to abandon me or leave me . I mean please " siddharth trailed off saying that as nandini sighed.
'Nothing is gonna change at all siddharth. I will still be your sister. When you will have problems you should still come to me. I will always be a call away. You will my priority still babybrother. Your elder sister won't ever abandon you. What makes you think I am so bad? Manik isn't leaving or abandoning his family . Then why will I ? The only thing which will happen is I will live with him. That doesn't really means I have left you. You will still be the same annoying brother for me. I will still spam your texts asking your whereabouts. Nothing is going to change apart from my room. That will be in the house next to our's . I promise siddharth. You don't leave family. Its for life. We are siblings for life and no new or old relation can change that fact. Nothing can change it. " she stated softly holding his head as a few tears escaped his eyes
"You promise" he squeaked like a little child.
"I do" she said wiping his tears. He pulled her in a hug as she chuckled patting his back.
"What took you so much time to say this? Were you having second thoughts?" He muttered wiping his nose on her shoulder.
"No sid . I just didn't really had the courage to speak to you. But then yesterday rohit spoke to me and then I saw how he clarified everything with you in the mall. You know I wanted to have this conversation with you but I wasn't sure how. The way he explained things to you made me understood that I should just tell you things as they are " nandini stated calmly as he nodded at her.
"That's great . Tell me how is it with manik?" He questioned looking at the view from his balcony..
"Our relationship is going smoothly . " she stated explicitly .
" common nandini we are closer than this. Moreover I don't think so that douche filled your ideal boy's features?" He stated quirking a brow at her.
"I know manik. But the way he makes me feel nobody ever did. The way he gets protective of me. The way he care's for me in his own peculiar ways. The way he is supportive of my dreams and aspirations. He just always cares for me so much. I really don't have the heart to turn down such a handsome man. He makes me feel truely blessed. " she stated softly.
"That's my cue to talk about it some other time" he stated sipping his coffee.
" Yeah otherwise you will break the moment of the conversation we just had" she stated annoyed as he chuckled nodding at her.

"Good morning" rohit said sitting beside jai and across manik and ekansh. They nodded at him.
'How are your wounds lad?" Ekansh questioned eating his omlete.
"Its fine " he stated calmly.
"How can it be? Isn't it paining you? They hurted you so badly" jai exasperated as rohit sighed at his words
"We go through worse than that in our trainings. So its not a big deal" he stated calmly as jai gasped at his words.
" You seem too unfazed by everything " manik remarked as he nodded at it..
"We are taught to control our emotions and anything remotely possible" he stated calmly as siddharth and nandini joined the table too.
"This is your planner for the day" siddharth said passing over the tab to him.
"Planner?" Ekansh questioned perplexed.
"I am helping him out with his studies. He left school two years ago in order to do his job. He needed to earn his living because his mother wasn't there anymore. He is a great kid. His mother made him skip a few grades. So he was in 9th standard when he left. He has completed 10th syllabus. As soon as he completes 12th I will make him give boards and get the certification from my college. " siddharth stated briefly.
"So make him give 10th boards with jai. And 12th also. Don't rush him with studies so much.  He has a job too" ekansh stated calmly.
"Knowing siddharth he must be teaching her financial modelling , programming, personality development ,stocks and all too dad" manik smirked at sid saying that.
"How do you know ?" Rohit questioned perplexed as siddharth face palmed.
"I know more than you can imagine" manik smirked at him as rohit got tensed. What is he trying to say? Does he know he is a she and his sister? What is exactly does he know? If he knows then does he not want a sister the way he didn't approach her? Her mind swirled with a number of questions.
"Siddharth stop burdening the kid more " ekansh stated sternly.
"I am not uncle. Its just He enjoys learning. He was quite intrigued when I explained him those things. He himself wants to study" siddharth said hurriedly breaking rohit out of his reverie.
"Ohh yeah its so fun to study and he is a unique teacher." Rohit stated excitedly.
"Then its fine" ekansh stated satisfied.
"I want to speak to you rohit in my room " ekansh stated sternly as he got from the table.
"Why?" He questioned bluntly.
"They are a few questions" ekansh sid walking away as he again gave no time for rohit to retaliate.
"How do you talk to our father like that?" Jai questioned wriggling his brows.
"What do you mean?" He questioned annoyed.
"The way you speak to him . Aren't you terrified of him. You even questioned his authority right now" jai pouted at her.
"I didn't question his authority at all. We had a normal conversation. What is it about being terrified of him . I don't think he looks bad. He is handsome for his age. " rohit stated bluntly as siddharth and manik chuckled at it.
"You sure have a unique outlook. But he is still scary" nandini stated faintly smiling at it .
"Then you haven't seen what scary actually means. What he does is humane. Scary is far from him" he said walking away from them as all of them were left stunned at his words.
"What is it that you want to talk about?" Rohit questioned standing infront of the couch ekansh was seated.
'Sit" ekansh patted the couch beside him.
Rohit followed his direction .
"How did you get this locket?" Ekansh questioned bluntly.
"From a shop" he said in a heartbeat .
"You sure" he questioned again.
"Definitely." He said confidently. The confidence in his demeanor made ekansh know that he isn't going to speak the truth. He was prudent enough to know he needs to dig it out himself.
"Ok then I must he mistaken" he said dismissing him as rohit ran out in an instant. He was startled seeing all of them standing outside the room
"What is so important about the locket?" Jai muttered scratching his head.
"Ask your father" rohit stated bluntly calming his heart down and walked away from them.
"What is actually wrong with his head?" Nandini muttered seeing him walk away.
'Remotely everything " manik mumured as siddharth glared the two.
"There wasn't anything wrong with what he said by the way" siddharth grumbled as he followed rohit to thier study.
"Why does he getting offended for him?" Nandini muttered scratching her head.
"Maybe your brother is gay" manik dead panned as they gasped at it.
'How dare you spout shit like that you asshole?" Nandini grumbled as manik ran down the stairs. She followed him huffing as he ran for his life.
