The mansion got quietened after the storm that passed because of Ekansh . Rohini shortened her trip and returned in two days. Manik and Nandini had been on the edge since that day. Jai was unusually bratty after his fall out with his father . Siddharth tried to be the cushion of the family. He was the one everyone spoke too and he tried to harmonise the environment. The engagement day came really fast. It was held in the Shukla Mansion.
The decorations and all the preparations were up to date. Rohit and  Siddharth made sure everything was up to the mark. They also made sure it was decorated just like nandini wanted it to be . Everything was of her choice.
"Preparations are done rohit. Common go up and change . " sidharth ordered him as he transferred the can of water.
" Uh huh" rohit mumbled as he walked up the stairs..
"nandini" ekansh called stepping in to her room. Nandini was ready all decked up in her silver coloured beautifully designed lehenga.
" Yes dad" she said touching his feet out of respect. He kept his hand on her head blessing her.
"I am sorry Beta. If our lives wouldn't have been at stake. I would have never let anyone crumple the dreams of the ladies of my house. This was not how it was supposed to be and I am sorry for that. I know I had been harsh to you . when I broke the news to you . I am sorry. I was a lot tensed that time. I hope you will forgive me child" ekansh stated emotionally as nandini ducked her head down.
"Father's shouldn't apologise to thier daughter's but order them. You shouldn't apologise to me dad. " she stated softly as ekansh puller her in a hug.
"Father's should love thier daughter's immensely too and tear the whole world apart to make thier wishes come true. I am sorry I am not that good of a father. Ranvijay would be so angry up there" ekansh stated defeatedly..
"No dad you are the best and I love you. Your friend up there would be so happy to know that you kept the security of your family at paramount importance. Don't think so low of yourself dad. What matters is me and manik. We are happy and it doesn't really matters where we exchange rings. What matters is our love and your blessings" she stated wipping ekansh's tears.
"I am so happy to get you. " he stated as Rohini and Manik barged into the room. Siddharth turned around with a faint smile. "My sister is in the right hands" he muttered walking away.
"Leave you are destroying my nandini's makeup" rohini yelled as she pushed manik and ekansh out of the room ..
"see dad because of you I am also kicked out" manik exasperated as ekansh got startled by that.
"Ohh shut up idiot. Don't teach your dad" ekansh said smacking his head and walked away.
'Nobody loves me" manik murmured as somebody jumped on him.
"I do big bro" jai yelled excitedly bouncing on his back. Manik held him tightly.
"Who wants such a heavy love" manik grumbled walking to thier room .
"Ohh what is wrong with rohit? He went inside without the towel or clothes" siddharth muttered as he stepped inside the washroom .
He slided the transperent curtain and gasped at the sight in front of him. There was a skin on the ground and a girl stood thier naked. He closed his eyes immediately and threw the towel on her.
" who the hell are you? Where is rohit?" He yelled as shehnaaz wrapped the towel around her body instantly.
Siddharth peeked from in between his fingers as he opened his eyes. The girl had already wrapped the towel around her body. Siddharth gasped as soon as he saw the face.
"You are a girl?" He gasped as rohit held his hand.
"I can explain you everything siddharth . Just don't tell anyone. After the engagement I will tell you everything. Please don't tell anyone" she begged kneeling in front of him as he sighed.
"After the engagement . I want to know everything. " he said in a steely voice as he walked out of the washroom. His heart thumped in his body. It was too much for him to digest. It was as if he went through an existential crisis. He checked in his pants. Again. Everything seemed to be a well formed lie. He just couldn't bring himself to accept the fact at all. He felt stunned , shook , scared , surprised , betrayed all at the same time. The emotions which overwhelmed him were making him gag.  He got ready for his sister's engagement nevertheless. The outfit also reminded him of rohit. It made him feel blank . He didn't knew what to feel about the boy anymore. No not even boy but a girl cosplaying a boy anymore. What does she thinks this is ? A shakespeare's play or what? He shook the thoughts away as he got ready and went down for the ceremony.
The whole arena was beautifully decorated with fairy lights and tulips. A stage in the middle as the tables were sprawled across the room. There were total 15 families called for the ceremony .They were the closest family and friends. Siddharth stood beside rohit who squirmed in his place feeling uncomfortable all of a sudden. Siddharth held his hand and rubbed his thumb over it.
"Don't make yourself too obvious rohit. Play it cool" siddharth stated calmly as rohit felt humiliated. He felt siddharth was mocking him. He definitely lied to him but everyone has thier reasons to do things. She didn't wanted to live like a boy either.
"We welcome you for the ceremony of our beloved Manan" the anchor announced as everyone cheered. What followed were a few dances performed by Jai and his friends. Rohini gave a heart warming performance for her daughter and gave an emotional speech. Ekansh also gave an emotional speech as rohit and siddharth pulled him on the stage for a dance. Everybody laughed at how funny ekansh looked because of his pathetic dancing skills. The most awaited moment of the ceremony came. Nandini was all too emotional throughout the ceremony especially after listening ekansh and rohini's words. Manik slipped his hand through her's and entwined thier fingers. He tried to give her assurance all through the performances and speeches like that. Jai came up with the rings on the stage. Manik took the ring and bend down on his knee.
"Nandini I have lived my childhood , teenage, adolescence and adulthood everything with you. You have been an integral part of me since the begining. I need you. I love you. I am highly delighted to bow infront of my queen for the rest of my life. So will you marry me and be tied with for the next seven lives of yours" he stated romantically as tears flew out of nandini's eyes on thier own accord as she nodded her head frantically forwarding her hand. He slipped the ring in her hand immediately and pulled her for a hug. Nandini took the ring and slipped it into his finger too.
"Ohh ho bhabhi is speechless in bhai's love" jai cooed as everybody started teasing the couple making the couple blush the hardest. Siddharth pulled rohit along with all the way to thier room .He pushed him inside and locked the door.
"The ceremony isn't over sid" rohit gasped as siddharth pushed him against the wall.
"It is. The rings have been exchanged. Everything is done. Now its your time to move your mouth' siddharth yelled as rohit sighed at it.
