The door to a decrepit bar swung open as a finely dressed man and his scrawny companion sauntered in. They both made their way through the noisy establishment to the closest bartender.
"Good day sir, my name is Dr. James Evans. I'm looking for one Eloise Clementine." began the man.
"She's over there." the bartender nodded his head towards a lonely redhead nursing a glass of whiskey.
And there she was, in all her lean and pale glory. The doctor and his companion made their way to her table.
"Hello Miss. My name is James Evans and this is my apprentice Charles Johnston." the doctor introduced himself, "and you must be Eloise Clementine."
She looked up and the doctor briefly lost his train of thought. One of her eyes was a vibrant plant green and the other an ice cold blue.
"Depends on who's asking." she replied, red hair and a scowl painting her face. Her eyes flashed in annoyance.
To all it may concern, this is the beginning of a short story. I'll post the other bit soon. I still have to make a cover and write the physical copy/ first draft.
