Chapter 3

Drift sits at the computer waiting for the video to go public. Today was the big day, he was going to see the trailer. He thinks back to the announcement Hololive made regarding him joining. It was completely out of the blue, so much so that if it wasn't for the En girls calling him about it on Discord he would have missed the stream. Apparently the announcement was made on Twitter a week prior, but Drift didn't even know what that was, so naturally he missed it. However after a few lessons from the girls he quickly understood the site, and after Calli helped set up his set-up he was finally ready for the big day, but what he didn't expect was having to wait for almost a month before even hearing anything by this time he had a small beard grown which he decided to keep which consequently resulted in his model being delayed even more. He rests his feet on his desk as he scratches his face. Suddenly the stream starts with Ame screaming.

Amelia: WHAT'S UP?!

Drift: OH SH-!

Drift slips out of his chair and hits the floor. He quickly rolls over and hops back up. He picks his chair back up and sits down this time with his feet planted on the floor.

Calli: Wow Ame. A little unnecessary don't you think?

Amelia laughs like a gremlin and the screen goes from a loading screen with the Holomyth girls' mascots all sitting down at a table to a different table showing the girls models all in their own seat with a different beverage/snack in front of them. Gura has a juice box, Kiara has a bucket of chicken, Ina has a cup of coffee, Amelia has tea, and Calli has a glass of wine. They talk for a little bit until chat seems to become very curious about the announcement they had.

Gura: C'mon guys be patient. We're almost ready.

Kiara hums in agreement.

Ina: Hm? Guys we're getting the okay to show them.

Calli: Alright.

The screen fades to black before the sound of chains being pulled cuts through the silence. Chains are shown rattling and tightening as the sound of labored breathing is heard. However suddenly it cuts to a shot of the girls walking down a hallway.

Amelia: Why do you think we were told to come here?

Gura: I don't know, but it sure is dark.

Kiara: On it!

Kiara makes a ball of flames appear in her hand and tosses it up making it floats in front of them.

Ina: See anything important?

Calli: Looks like whoever was here left a long time ago.

A cut is made once again showing a foot stomp the ground before pulling the chain wrapped around their ankle tight by kicking forward making a loud rattling sound. The chained up figure slips forward leaving the chains to hold them up as they slump forward. They grip the chains bound to their arms and pull them tightly to pull themselves up. They let out a primal yell as they try to hold themselves up before falling forward once again. The chain is pulled back until the person hits the wall. They pull themselves off the wall running the chain forward and setting the machine the chains are on off cutting on the emergency lights in the facility. The facility is suddenly bathed in pink flashing lights. The girls all look around and Amelia speaks up looking up from her phone.

Amelia: Schematics say the origin of the alarm is....this way!

She takes off in a direction while looking down at her phone to make sure she's going the right way as the others all follow behind her. They eventually stop in front of a set of double doors and open them up. Inside they spot a man being held up by five chains, one on each arm and leg and one attached to a collar around his neck. The room goes dark before lighting back up in tune with the emergency lights. The male doesn't move as the girls enter and look at him.
