You know it's hard when you're in a relationship, harder still when it is long distance. You might Skype every day and every night, you might text and fall asleep on calls but it never equates to being able to walk down the street with their hand holding yours.It's hard to overcome the feeling of fear that lurks in the corners of your heart trying to make sense of the distance that keeps you so very far from each other's arms, when every party, every car ride, every trip feels incomplete, because there's always something... someone, who is missing.
And then one day all of a sudden you're on a plane or are driving your car down towards them and as the distance between you gets shorter your body seems to start feeling lighter.And then you see them.It's like a sigh, a sigh so deep so long so desperate, sigh that seems to release something from your very being, a sigh that you had no idea you were holding in, and in its place comes a breath of fresh air that seems to lift you off of your feet into the air, and you don't even know where the time went and you're back in their arms again.
Yes, that's how seeing them after so very long feels.
