Chapter 5

"Good evening!", Ayaka welcomed you after you returned from Watatsumi Island.

"Good evening. Have you been all day here?", Kokomi asked her.

"No, not at all. I went to Kamisato Estate to tell the Yashiro Commission I would be gone for a couple days, and Thoma would be too. But Thoma stayed with Kazuha." Said Ayaka, as she walked towards the room you'd be sleeping in. Kokomi followed next to her, and you and Gorou behind her.

"Great. At least we can stay safe here, for a couple days, before returning to our normal lives." Kokomi said.

«Unless something doesn't go as planned.» She thought.

You spent the rest of the night speaking with your friends, until it got a bit late.

"Guys, I think it's about time we go to sleep... I'm getting real tired...", you said, resisting the urge to yawn.

"You might be right, I think it's convenient for you all to get some proper sleep tonight." Thoma said. "If all of you decide to go to sleep now, I'll go too."

"Thoma, I couldn't be more grateful to have you taking care of us." You said. That last comment made Kokomi flinch. "I know it's your job and whatever, but don't sleep late, alright?", you told him.

"It's alright, Y/N! Don't worry! Anyway, let's just go to sleep." Thoma replied.

"Right... night." Kokomi said, in a neutral yet intimidating tone.

"Good night." Kazuha said.

The next day, you woke up, this time with everyone asleep in the room, or waking up at the same time as you. Except for Thoma, of course, who was making breakfast.

You got up from bed and went over to the kitchen, not before stopping at the doorframe and turning around to check on who was waking up.

Inazuma's wanted criminal was already standing right behind you. You didn't notice him at all, he was as silent as the wind; one with the wind, as he says. You got a little scared at the unexpected sight of him.

The Kamisato Clan's youngest heir was awake, but struggling to keep herself at that state. She was trying to keep her eyes open or move to get up from the bed, but she was really tired.

The pink-haired army leader was slightly moving in her slumber, her eyes delicately closed and her face wearing her usual soft expression.

The general of the same army, was awake but barely rubbing his eyes, too lazy to move.

Kazuha passed by your side and got out of the room to head to the kitchen, and that's when you noticed you were standing there for too long.

"I should probably head there too." You said.

As you and Kazuha entered the room, Thoma instantly heard you.
