It was a new and early morning, a morning which gave you great motivation. It was the morning in which you would be returning to your duties as a normal person, and you couldn't be more excited.
Next to you was Kokomi, who was packing the few things she got time to take with her. She was almost finished with it and had woken up early in the morning to pack her stuff.
Gorou and you hadn't packed that many things, even fewer than Kokomi; so the only thing you were doing was chatting while Kokomi was finishing her progress.
"Yes, I agree. I couldn't bear not being in Watatsumi Island for another day. I can't leave my people alone any further." She spoke as she folded one of her last pairs of clothing.
"We better get back as fast as possible, we don't know how things are going there. We haven't gotten any reports." You told her.
"Yeah, and that's what makes me even more worried. But I trust that everything went okay, if they followed Her Excellency's instructions." Gorou said, changing from a thinking pose to an affirming and decisive one.
"Well." She said as she closed her small bag. "Let's go."
You all shook your heads looking at each other and went over the exit, where Ayaka was waiting.
"So... this is goodbye for now. I loved spending time with you, but it's better if we separate once again. We've all got our duties to attend to." Ayaka mentioned.
"Yes. We'll miss you, and until the next time." Gorou said, spreading the message you three wanted to say.
As you left the place where all kinds of events took place in, you couldn't help but get a grasp of relief. Living in a war was most certainly not relaxing, but living in an environment in which everyone simply got eliminated as if discarding cards and no one knowing who was next, was definitely worse. So that's why going back to your usual job, your usual life, was so relieving at last.
Your steps were quick and in no time you already set foot into Yashiori Island, getting closer to the soldier camp in Fort Fujitou.
The soldiers were quick to notice your presence, and quickly went to say hello to you. A greeting full of respect that made you realize how much time had passed since you last set foot into this island in a normal occasion.
"Greetings, comrades!", Kokomi spoke. "It is my pleasure to meet you all again. I am very grateful to see you in well conditions, and to give you some news, so are we. We will be back in The Resistance, and this time it's permanent! Remember, the war is not over yet!", she gave her speech, demonstrating she was willing to continue the war only to win and protect her people.
"Yes!", all the soldiers said in unison, as they raised a fist to the air.
"Alright, everyone. I would like to ask for a report of everything that has happened the past weeks." Gorou stepped forward and asked the soldiers.
