You know, I attempted to get this in two days ago.
But did you know allergies are a bitch?
Like wtf I literally woke up and COULD NOT STOP SNEEZING
My fucking eyes were puffy,
And I felt like satan entered my soul.
Not fun.
But, I have consumed a whole bucket load of DayQuil so I'm good!
OFF TO THE STORY BOOM!
(By the way, I REALLY don't want to have to do this but Wattpad hates me, and I can no longer use tab so my paragraphs will have no indent because if I use the space bar it won't all be equally spaced!)
Chapter 15 - Silent Weirdness
Damien
If anyone hadn't said it enough, Carter is weird as all hell. But lately, he's gotten even weirder, if that was even humanly possible. Over the last two weeks, he's kinda just been in and out of the apartment and hasn't said a word to any of us; I mean apart from the occasional, "Hey bro!" or "Bee, where is the Taylor Swift CD?". It's quite obvious that something is up, but Bee kind of is just ignoring it and says, "He'll tell us when he's ready."
"Hey Bro! Got to go! Ooh! That rhymed! I'm a poet and I didn't even know it! That rhymed too! Gee, I crack myself up! Okay, bye." Carter practically squealed in my face before running out of Bee's apartment.
Stepping over the threshold, I watched as Bee plopped down on the couch with a darkness to her hazel eyes.
"He left again?" Bee asked, turning her head towards me, a blank look crossing her features.
"Yeah." A loud sigh erupted from her mouth. She patted the empty space on the couch next to her, guessing that it meant for me to come over, I shrugged my white converse off my feet before plopping down on the couch beside her.
Before getting a chance to react, Bee rested her head in my lap and sighed once more. Ignoring the increase in heart rate the slight action gave me, I picked my hands up and signed, "You know, you shouldn't sigh this much in a span of only two minutes Bee."
She gave a humorless chuckle before responding, "I don't get it."
My eyebrows furrowed in confusion, "You don't get why you shouldn't sigh?"
She lightly slapped my arm, "No stupid. I don't get why Carter keeps leaving all the time. He looks so damn happy."
"And that's a problem because..?" Bee slapped me on the wrist, causing me to roll my eyes, "Okay, I don't live in your brain, as much as you like to think I do. So, if you want me to know what you're thinking you have to say it." She slapped me on the wrist again. Honestly, I do this to myself.
"Because, stupid, what is out there that is making him so damned happy that he can't fucking be happy in here! Like, what the hell?" I rolled my eyes at her sudden anger as she spoke,
"Bee, this is Carter we're talking about. He could see a butterfly and he'd be excited. Frankly, this is normal Carter behavior- normal Carter behavior on like, Xanax." I said with a smirk slowly growing onto my face. Bee snickered at me, and hit me again on the wrist, "Okay, you're particularly violent today," I began with an eye roll, "Look Bee, it's honestly not that big of a deal. He's a grown ass man- scratch that. He's a grown ass Carter, and I think he's capable of holding himself together. I mean, at least he's happy. It's not like the kid is in danger."
