Chapter 17 - Silent Hide n' Seek
Damien
Fuck.
There are a couple things wrong in this situation. Let's list them out shall we?
1. Jayden is back.
2. Jayden is dating Bee's brother.
3. I'm maybe, possibly, in love with Bee (okay, that actually held no relevance to the situation but I just felt like I had to point that out.)
4. Bee's probably gonna cut my throat when she finds me because I keep running away like a little bitch.
5. I'm probably gonna have to talk to Jayden pretty soon.
6. Fuck.
Well, looks like I'm going to be playing a twisted game of hide n' seek for the next few hours- only once I get found there won't be any giggles or smiles. Something closer along the lines of tears and having to rehash the moment in which my older brother, the one person I looked up to most in the world, abandoned me and left me with my abusive father who's mentally scarred me for life. No big deal right?
Also, did I mention: Fuuuuuck.
I can't believe he has the audacity to come back into my life like this. Eight years. It's been eight god damned years and he now decides, 'you know what I feel like doing? Infiltrating my younger brother's happy life and ruining it!'
Actually no, I don't think he even planned on showing up in my life. How long has he even been here? He's probably been here for the last eight years, and didn't even think to find me. It honestly doesn't even matter if he was here or fucking Timbuktu, he should've come back for me.
When I left, I had nothing. No one to come back for, nothing for me back home. But, if there was something or someone I loved back in there, I damn sure would've went back and you better believe when I left the situation wasn't all that pretty.
"Damien my boy!" I could hear his raspy voice echo within my mind, "Guess what I got?"
I didn't have to answer, he beat me to it, "The thing that matters to me most," and out from behind his back he pulls out a crumpled paper bag and a glass bottle of beer in his right hand. Strutting over from the front door to the corner I was huddled up in, knees to my face, he sticks his left hand out towards my face and pours the contents of the paper bag in his hand. Out from the bag rolled a couple pouches of cocaine.
"Since your good for nothing brother left me, all I can afford is cocaine. See what you do Damien? You fuck up everything."
Tears began to well up in my eyes at the mention of my brother, obviously the man standing in front of me took great pleasure in watching the salty tears stream down my face, he began to guffaw loudly, "You're such a little bitch. What're you crying for? Jayden didn't love you. Why else would he leave? He was tired of your shit. I don't blame him. You're good for nothing. You think you're worth anything? Please. Like I said, this," he holds the small bags in front of my face once more, "is all that fucking matters to me." and with those words he opens one of the small bags and pours the white substance in his hands. With a final smirk, he lifts his hands and runs the powder across my face.
