Chapter 11 - Silent Dates

Damien

I have never heard anything so awful. Anything so freakin' painful, so god damn horrific.

Baila Fuentes screeching when she's happy.

"We actually made it Ace!" Baila screamed taking a running start down the street. She looked about ready to do a back flip, but no, only Bee does a ballet combination.

"Tombe, padabure, glissade, assemble!" Bee shouts as she does her ballet combination, to which she finished with the back flip we all knew was coming.

"Why are you so happy for pete's sake?" I ask her, my heart slightly palpitating from trying to keep up with her speed.

"Because! It's like I get a piece of my mother! At first I didn't want to dance here because I didn't think I could take it. But, to be able to be taught with dancers who danced with my mother, it's just amazing. To know that I could be closer to her, that's better than beating that stupid bitch Carmen." Bee says with a large smile on her face. I smiled at her, her long brown hair was now tied up in a slick, shining ponytail and her warm brown eyes seemed to glisten at me. She was just so beautiful.

"But enough of that! We're going out!" Baila nearly shouted at me. My heart stopped and I started to sputter a bit.

        "Out?" I asked

"Yeah! You know, like to celebrate?" Bee said in a 'duh' tone. My heart still hadn't started beating yet.

"Like a date?" I responded trying to sign as slowly as possible just in case she thought my questioning was stupid. Yes, I know, I'm acting like a self-conscious thirteen year old girl, sue me.

Bee laughed, "Whatever you want to call it, Ace." She finished, pulling my arm and beginning to run down the block.

You know, when they said girls take way too long to get ready, they weren't kidding. I was standing in front of Bee's apartment currently watching the clock on my phone.

'Two - Fifty - Three' my phone read. I had been here since two-thirty and I was currently tired and slightly hungry.

'What the hell could be taking her so long?' I wondered. This thought made me glance down to my opened plaid shirt, fitted black v-neck, fitted Adidas track pants and my Jordan 1's. Was I not supposed to be casual? I checked the time again.

'Three O' Clock' My phone read.

Okay, that's it, I'm going to come in there bust down that door an-

"Hey, Ace." Bee said stepping out her house looking, I don't even have words to describe how amazing she looked.

Pulling the door closed behind her, Bee popped out her house wearing a black Tupac shirt, red leather pants and black and white Jordan 13's. Her hair cascaded in soft ringlets past her shoulders and a flower covered bucket hat adorned her head. I laughed a bit.
