"Hey guys, we're here." Billie wakes up, yawning and sitting up from Skylar's lap, the bus driver was turned around and looking at him and the guys, "What?" Billie asks confused, "We're here..." The driver repeats, "Oh thanks" "No problem".
Billie stands up and gently pulls Skykar's legs on the couch, he walks over to Mike and slaps his butt to get him to wake up.
"What the fuck Billie?" Mike says quiet but angrily, "We're here dude, stop your whining" "I'm still tired though..." "Oh boo hoo, try having twins and let's see how tired you really are" "Ok, Ok I'm up... God..." Billie smiles, "Come on, let's wake up Tre, we have to get ready to go" "All right" Mike says standing up.
Mike and Billie wake up Tre and gets dressed for their first on tour interview-- their first interview in San Francisco. Billie kisses Skylar's head and whispers 'I love you' to her, he walks up to the guys and they walk out of the bus, "Billie, Mike, Tre, over here" they hear their manager, Rob shout across the parking lot, the boys walk over and greet him before getting in the car.
*AT THE INTERVIEW*
"Hello everyone, welcome back to VH1, today we have three punks joining us today here in studio-- ladies and gentlemen, please welcome punk rock band, Green Day".
The male interviewer looks over at the three boys sitting on the couch with smiles in their faces.
"So, how are you guys, what's it like being on tour again?" Billie sighs, "Well, its cool, we have a room for our instruments, a room to chill in-- it's like a better version of home" "Yeah, normally we'd have to find places to rehearse in like very old, raggedly houses. Its been fun, what do you think Tre?" Mike asks, Tre smiles, "A better place to fuck" he says happily, everyone starts laughing at his comment.
"Anyways, you guys realased 'Nimrod', and it's doing great, one of the songs-- 'Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)' is a very different sound for you guys, obviously it's getting lots of attention, what made you want to write this song?"
"Well, we wanted to prove how punk we are by putting a completely different thing on the album, and it was the most punk thing that we've done- we don't regret it at all" Mike says shifting to the interviewer.
"What about the people that say that punk is dead?" The interviewer asks.
"How the fuck can people say that punk is dead?" Billie says laughing, "Obviously it's not because you have other bands doing it, they're just not trying hard enough. But people that say that punk is dead, don't know what the fuck they're talking about"
"Any thought on why you guys wanted to make music?"
Billie sits back on the couch, "Well, you know, to have fun and get our music out there, the best times are when we have fans come up to us and thank us for saving their lives- that's what makes all of this worthwhile".
"That's amazing... Well thank you guys so much for being here, its been a pleasure, I will definitely watch you guys on tour-- don't forget to get Green Day's album 'Nimrod' and see them on tour starting later this week here in San Francisco"
The boys wave at the cameras and wait for them to turn off, the interviewer smiles and shakes the boys' hands.
After a few minutes, the boys walk out the building to walk to their car, "Billie, Tre, Mike!" The boys turn around and see a group of boys and girls smiling, "Hey guys" Mike says happily, "Can we have your autographs? We're fans of you guys" a girl says shyly, "Of course" Billie answers, the boys walk up to the kids and sign their arms and albums, "There you go guys, hope to see you on our tour" Mike says smiling, "Thank you, we will" the kids say in unison.
The boys walk to the car and get inside.
BILLIE'S POV:
This is amazing- I'm on tour with my best friends and my wife and kids are here with me, I don't think life could get any better...
