The sound of crying wakes up a very tired Billie Joe, he tirelessly gets up and walks to the next room. Little Jakob cries in his small crib; his little hands in small fists as his little face was slightly a light shade of pink-- Allie is quietly sleeping but starts to flinch in her sleep, Billie holds his breath in hope.
Please stay asleep Allie...
After a few seconds, Allie still stays quiet, Billie smiles slightly to himself in happiness, walking up to Jakob's crib, he lifts him up and kisses his little face.
"Hi there little guy, let's see what's wrong..." Billie sits in the chair across the room and pats his son's back, after a few minutes, Jakob finally calms down and coos quietly.
Finally...
Billie sits up and carries his son to his crib and lays him down.
BILLIE'S POV:
So tired...
I am completely exhausted, three hours of practice, two cities with seven performances and staying up for a hour with my kids... I'm pretty sure that I'm not gonna get any sleep for the next few hours...
Billie sits back in the chair across the room, sliding down the chair, his hair's a mess, circles around his eyes and he just looked dead.
He stays in the seat for more than twenty minutes and just blankly stares at the wall, after another ten minutes, he still is awake.
"Babe, what are you still doing here, it's four in the morning..." Billie turns his head and sees Skylar standing at the door, "I can't sleep, so I just decided to stay here" Skylar walks over and rubs Billie's shoulder, "How about we just lay down in bed, I'll make you a snack, ok?" Billie nods his head and walks into Skylar's and Billie's room. Billie lays down on the bed, looking at the clock on the wall.
The clock is laughing in my face...
Skylar walks into the room with a small cup yogurt in her hand, she sits on the bed and hands Billie the yogurt. "Thanks" "You're welcome" Skylar says quietly yawning, "You can go to sleep, Skylar. I'm fine..." Skylar smiles, "Hey, I'm fine with staying up, if you can't sleep, then I'm gonna stay up with you till you fall asleep" "You'd do that?" Skylar nods her head, Billie puts down the yogurt and hugs her, "What's that for?" She asks, Billie looks at her, "For being there, for genuinely caring" Skylar smiles, she rubs her hand on Billie's face, "I'll take you to the pharmacy to get you a prescription for the insomnia" "Ok".
Billie and Skylar lay in bed together and talk for hours, at around eight in the morning, Billie finally falls asleep on Skylar's lap, she watches her husband sleep until she falls asleep...
