The one who was left behind:Fenris x Hawke ( female )

-"Hey Fenris .... You do know that I love you right?" Hawke said with a gentle voice as she brushed aside his hair to get a better look at his face.
Fenris casually answered that he loved her too before he focused his attention on the spy report in front of him. Even after having to flee from Kirkwall he was still eager to hunt down Tevinter slavers. Hawke let out a small sigh but had left him to his work. She watched him for a moment with those blue eyes he loved, before she left. -

That was the last memory of Hawk Fenris had, she had simply vanished and left him with feelings of anger and agony that now filled him.
He cursed himself for not noticing the small signs. The tone of her voice, the way she had looked at him, the small sigh. He should have know that there was something more behind her trip than to visit her old friend. He should had asked her more question, stopped her but now he had lost her forever. Not even a body to bury, she had been lost to the Fade. He slammed his fist against the wall and felt how the wooden planks bended under the force.

"Venhedis!" He snarled as he slammed his fist against the wall again. This time with such a force that he started to bleed. His throat felt thick and the eyes were burning from the tears he forced back. He ignored the blood that dripped down on the floor. Nothing mattered to him anymore, not now when he had lost the one thing he gladly would have sacrificed his life for. The woman who had saved him from his miserable life, the woman who had given him a reason to open up to live; was gone. He growled as his head started to hurt and painful memories started to move around like a dancing fog.

- Hawke was standing in front of him; they both knew this was going to be a hard fight. Fenris looked at the woman that had somehow made him stay and fight for the mages he hated. He yet again realised the impact the woman had on him and his life.
"Meeting you was the most important thing that ever happened to me Hawke. Promise you wont die. " He said while he gently placed his hand on her cheek. He surprised himself a bit by being so forward, but he had meant every word. Hawke gave him her usual smile and looked him deep into the eye with those clear blue eyes he loved.
She took his hand and squeezed it gently in hers.
" I don't make that promise unless you do." She said with those red lips.
He answered that nothing was going to be able to keep him away as he had kissed her one last time before the battle. -

Fenris shook free from the flashback, it was too painful to remember. His chest felt like it was going to rip open. The feelings of agony and sadness washed over him like a big wave. He had no idea what to do with all the sorrow; he slammed his fist against the wall again welcoming the physical pain in his hand as the wound became bigger. He was glad that the dwarf had left a long time ago or he might just have ripped out his heart. Somewhere in his head he could hear Hawke gently telling him to not be mad at Varric.

"Fasta Vaas!!!!" He cursed as he lifted up a chair and hurled it into the wall. It helped a bit; so another one came crashing soon after the first one.

The memories of her was slowly taunting him, beckoning him. He felt a shiver down his spine as he thought he felt her touch against his head, gently caressing his hair.
Oh how cruel memories could be. To remember the touch of the woman he loved and lost so clear; was it a blessing or a painful punishment. He sank down on the floor with his hands covering his face, blood still dripping from the wound.

He looked out at the room in silence; the furnishings in the room were trashed. The only thing that was still whole was the shield on the wall with Hawke's family crest.
