His saving grace

Chapter 2: You make me better

Jc woke up to a cold touch around her waist she looked down to see Bucky's medal arm and for a second she caught herself smiling before she heard a knock on the door and the sound of Steve's voice as the door opened his eyes got big when he saw Jc. "Jc what are you doing?" "Ok listen he had a night mare last night and I helped him and then he asked me to stay with him nothing happen." she was whispering so she didn't wake him. "Ok well just have him up soon we have to leave in an hour to get to the compound and I don't want to be late." and with that he walked out leaving Jc alone with Bucky. She laid there for a few minutes before she got up and went to get ready picking out her outfit and getting in the shower.

 She finished getting ready when she went and got a bowl of cereal making sure to eat something before they had to do all the heavy lifting after she finished she headed for Bucky's room. When she got in there she began to shake him and his eyes opened he let of a little no and tried to go back to sleep "Come on Bucky we leave in like 20 minutes you have to get up." "Ok ok I'm up give me ten minutes and I'll be ready." Just as he said 10 minutes later he walked out dressed and ready to go. About an hour later they were on their way to the compound all of them ready to move in Steve and Sam in the first corridor, Nat and Wanda, and Vision in the second, Pietro and Peter in the third, Thor and Loki in the forth for when they visit, Tony in his own, and Jc and Bucky in the last they all choses their rooms and began to unpack. 

After about 2 hours Jc heard a knock on her door "Come in" about a second later Nat walked in she had a smile on her face that told Jc she was about to ask her something uncomfortable "What's up Nat?" "Well I heard that Steve found you and another super solider in the same bed this morning." "Oh my god he told you about that?" she nods with the biggest smirk on her face "Nat nothing happened he was having a nightmare last night, F.R.I.D.A.Y alerted me so I woke him up, he ended up getting sick so I helped him in the shower to relax and then he asked me to stay with him so I did we didn't sleep together." "Ok but you have to admit he's really hot for being as old as he is." "Ok yes he's very handsome but he just moved in I would never sleep with him when he's just getting out of his shell." "But you would sleep with him?" "I don't know I mean he is really sweet and we get along well and I sometimes get nervous around him but I mean half the team does so I don't know I guess." "Wow you barley know the guy and you're already in love with him damn." "What! I am not in love with him I just like his presence that's all." "Whatever you say come find me when you realize how in love with him you are, love you." "Love you too." Jc was very confused at what Nat was saying and she needed to get her mind off of it so she went to the new library to unpack all of her books they had brought over. 

After about an hour she had about half of them on the shelf when she felt like someone was watching her so she turned around to find Bucky standing in the door way looking at her and smiling which took her by surprise. "Jesus Bucky you scared me, what's with the smile?" "Oh nothing just admiring your love for books how's unpacking going?" "Oh well its going good I have about half of them unpacked and I got the sliding ladder up so it's been easier." "That's good want some help?" "Uh yea can you grab the record player and the records out of that box over there?" "Yea sure where do you want it?" "On the table next to the love seat is fine thank you." "So where'd you get all the books that are about as old as me?" he lets out a little laugh and that makes her smile. "My grandmother was a big reader she use to read to me all the time when she died she left me all her books which may sound like its nothing cause most girls would want the jewelry but my love for books was just as strong as hers." "No it's not silly at all it's really sweet actually and you said your uncle also bought you some?" "Uh yea just a few they weren't the same as the ones from my grandmother so there not in here I have them in a storage locker with the rest of my parents stuff and a few things from when I was a kid." he looks a little surprised so she goes on. "I didn't want them but I didn't want to get rid of them. I loved him and those books at one point and they were both apart of my childhood but they were just a constant reminder of my parents, what he did to me, and what the Girl in Black did so I kept them just not with me." He seemed to understand.
