Weeks passed on while both Dahlia and Tom finally found the little happiness they deserved in each other. Tom made her life worth living and vice-versa. Dahlia continued to work at her old place till one incident really brought out the hidden fury from within her.

One fine day as she headed to work she noticed how all her coworkers kept glancing at her, giving her nasty looks and even whispering behind her back.

Confused she knocked on her boss's door as it swung open revealing a quite vexed man in a dashing blue suit.

"Dahlia West." He muttered trying not to summon the anger that bubbled inside him.

"How dare you....." He continued whispering while Dahlia kept her gaze on him, trying to understand the issue.

"Sir what do you---"

"SHUT UP!!!" He yelled while his bodyguard who stood beside him, flinched but quickly stood his guard.

Dahlia on the other hand who had quite got accustomed to his unexpected rages, barely even flinched while her eyes bored into his.

"Please look at this footage and explain yourself." His palm rested on his forehead, massaging it slowly while his eyes remained closed.

Dahlia peeked at the laptop, hitting the space bar while the video began playing. Her eyes kept getting bigger and bigger with each scene till the last clip played and the laptop shut right in front of her.

Finding the right words to say wasn't easy. She knew the footage had been tampered with but she just didn't know by whom. Her eyes met his raging ones and Dahlia gathered herself up, ready to answer him. But before her mouth could even open, she heard those two words that she dreaded.

"You're fired."

She wasn't sad nor mad. Half of her may have already expected this soon enough but she had grown to adore this company. Though Dahlia barely had anyone here to call a friend, it was her first job. Letting go of it wasn't easy.

"Sir---"

"Pack your stuff and leave!" His booming voice followed by an echo didn't scare her but she just wanted to say a few words.

"Fine." She sighed earning quite a surprised look from her boss.

"Huh?"

"I said fine I'll go but just let me say this. You will regret this decision sir. Everyone needs a chance to prove their innocence. I haven't said this or done any of this. If you look closely enough, the footage has been tampered with. Thank you though for giving me a great opportunity here but I'm even more grateful to you for making my work easier."

"I was contemplating how to tell you that I want to resign but now.... It's much more easier. Good day and hope the company does well. Gentlemen." Dahlia gave a swift nod before departing from there with an odd smile.

A few notification popped up while a tiny giggle left from her lips.
