Flashback

"Sir Miss West just had a severe panic attack. We'll be hospitalising her for a week. Panic attacks are quite dangerous but right now she is resting. One visitor can stay."

Present

He shoved her clothes into a bag and zipped it shut. Falling to his feet he pulled his knees towards him, gathering his breath. Rubbing his forehead, Tom sighed and stood up, grabbing the bag and locking the door on his way out.

Things would be fine.
She would be fine.

He kept telling this to himself like a mantra.

Dahlia smiled seeing her boyfriend walk in. She noticed his eyes were red while his nose was stuffy. She knew he was worried.

"Babe...." She whispered but heard no response. "Babe please..." Dahlia begged and finally Tom met her eyes. Smiling she reached out for him to take his hand. Hesitated at first but he slowly stood up, holding her hand as tight as possible.

His phone rang.

She nodded.

He left.

Dahlia drowned the bottle of water and stared into nothing but her mind raced with the fear of him leaving her. She needed him. She hated being dependant but her sanity, her happiness were all now just him. She noticed how he hesitated. She noticed his anger.

"I won't leave you..."

His voice interrupted her thoughts and her head turned to his direction. "How did you know?" Tom chuckled "I know you love. I won't leave you I swear. I'm not mad. Your panic attacks don't define you love. I love you for who you are" he gripped her arm.

"What if the real me is dark?"

"Then I pull you out" he added simply.

"Tom..."

"What? You want to leave me?" He narrowed his eyes.

"Never! I just don't think you'll like me later on"

"Dahlia West I have been in love with you ever since you saved me that night. I am here alive because of you. You gave me another chance at life. And my love just keeps growing day by day. And day by day I will prove it to you"

Dahlia smiled.

Yes.... They both had each other. Nothing could go wrong then. They shared their pains, their struggles, their worries and happiness. Love was unbeatable.

She closed her eyes, still gripping his hand tightly and shut her eyes.

Sometimes she wished she never met him at all ....
