The crowd had calmed down its cheers. Students, teachers and other spectators are watching the maze blankly. They talk to each other about who would win and all. But, Hogwarts students seemed more enthusiastic since other champions had already been brought out of the maze. It is only Harry Potter and Cedric Digory in there. Either, it was certain that Hogwarts won the Triwizard Tournament this time.
However, sat three people, with unsettling feeling creeping up onto their shoulders as their beloved son, the youngest champion was still in the maze. Lily sat in the middle sandwiched between her husbands, James and Regulus. They all held each others hands, trying to chase their concern away.
"He is going to be just fine." James said reassuringly.
"Yeah, Lily. He kicked the Hungarian Horntail's butt within minutes. " Regulus squeezed her arm, giving James a warm smile.
" I believe in him. But, I have this voice in my head that says something is going to go wrong" Lily focused her eyes onto the maze's entrance again, waiting for her boy to show up.
" What voice? " James asked.
" Don't you have this voice in your head that tells you when something could go wrong" Lily said.
" Umm... No? " James shook his head, confused.
" That explains a lot of your actions, Jamie" Regulus rolled his eyes making his wife giggle.
" Don't bully your husband!" James said, acting offended.
"What? Going to cry?" Regulus asked challengingly.
"I don-" James stopped as Regulus suddenly winced as if he was in pain.
Regulus pulled his hand away from Lily as a sudden stinging sensation spread across his left wrist. And it only grew deeper. He turned his hand around to see what caused the pain and his eyes widened in horror. It was his Dark Mark. That never hurt, not even once since the day Voldemort was defeated by his son at Godric's Hollow. But now the mark stinged, sending shivers across his spine. Because he knew what this sensation meant. He rubbed his other palm around the dark mark irrationally hoping that it would wipe the pain away.
"Are you okay, Reggie?" Lily and James asked.
"The mark... It stings..." Regulus said, his eyes pooling.
Harry was in the maze. He could be in danger. Not the danger like in the Triwizard Tournament. Harry was with The dark lord. Regulus knew it. He knew that his son was in mortal peril.
"I have to go!" Regulus exclaimed. Lily and James held onto his arms.
"Tell us what is happening. " James demanded.
"He is back. The dark lord. He is calling us. That's why it stings" Regulus struggled to string his words together as horror filled up his lungs.
"You don't have to go!" Lily said, eyes tearing up.
"No! You don't understand. He has got Harry. He needs Harry's blood to come back alive. Harry is with him. I need to safe Harry!" he tried to pull his hands away from his husband and wife so that he could go safe Harry.
"The Champions are back!" a male voice announced. Followed by a scream " The boy is dead"
Lily, James and Regulus froze in horror. They sprinted towards the entrance aggressively shoving off the crowd. Harry laid there crying, next to a lifeless boy.
