The boys kept teasing me how cute I looked a few moments ago, cuddled up to Lydia's small figure. I glared at them but deep down I was beaming like a kid on Christmas morning. I felt a tug on my sweatpants, a smile forming on my face as I noticed Lydia standing there with her arms raised in the air. I hoisted her up, placing her on my hip as I held her securely.
The boys took turns greeting a very drowsy Lydia who just smiled at them and went back to burying her face in the crook of my neck. I kept humming softly, my hand rubbing up and down her back. I cleared my throat when I realized the rest of the lads were staring at me with a funny look.
"What?" I ask as Harry slips beside me, his head resting on my other shoulder as he kisses my jaw making the others gag and me blush.
"You're just too cute with her s'all" He shrugs, and the other nod wordlessly. I blushed slightly and held on to Lydia tighter.
"Lou Lou" She whines, lifting her head and looking at me. "m'hungry" She pouts and I smack my forehead in realization that we were almost thirty minutes behind schedule according to Helen's chart.
Well to be fair we were totally off schedule since she was supposed to have Mashed Potatoes and we gave her chicken nuggets and cookies.
Liam was quick to slide a plate of toasted bread for me and a bowl of kid's cereal (which honestly looked more appetizing than the half burn toast Niall had made).
I set Lydia in her seat, happily munching on the cocoa puffs while I grimacingly bit down on the toast. The others just winced with me as Niall stood there looking proud that only half the toast was burned and not the full.

The crowd outside the bus was going crazy, we could hear the screams from a mile away. Usually I'd be excited to see them but right now, Lydia was curled up in a corner, terrified out of her life from the amount of people outside.
Harry was quick to slide in to the rescue, hoisting her up in his arms. Her little fingers played with the curls on the back of his neck, as her face stayed hidden in his shoulder. He placed her hat on her head, her blanket loosely hanging on her body as we stepped out.

I felt Lydia's grip on my flannel tighten as a low whimper left her mouth. I could feel how scared she was from the screaming. I tried my best to soothe her, my hand moving up and down her back as we weaved our way through the crowd. We stopped to sign a few cards, posters and shirts on the way.
"Harry who is that !?" I heard someone yell in front of me but it was hard to make out who it was. Lydia lifted her head slightly, squinting her eyes as she focused on the crowd.
She slowly eased into my arms, head lazily dropping to my shoulder. I felt Louis' arm wrap around my waist (another reason the crowd went crazy) kissing my cheek (cue someone girl practically ripping our ears off from how loud she screamed)
I smiled and grabbed his hand, walking towards the door which seemed to have taken forever to reach. As we stepped in, the screaming subsided until it finally stopped.
"Ly? Angel?" Louis spoke softly, his hand running through his brown curls, and I'd be lying if my heart didn't skip a beat at that.
"mm?" She mumbles looking up at us, she had her thumb stuck in her mouth as she looked up with tired eyes.
"Princess we talked about not sucking your thumb while sleeping" I say, she whines but removes her thumb as Niall wipes it with a tissue. It took so much not to jump when Niall appeared out of nowhere with a tissue.
"Shall we go meet Helen? I'm sure she's dying to meet Ly. And Harry Helen texted me that your mom is here" Liam spoke and my eyes instantly shot up at the mention of my mum.
"Okay yeah lets go !" I said excitedly, darting ahead of the boys.
